Height: 7 feet, 6 inches
Nationality: Jigue (former), Selvi (current)
Race/Ethnicity: mixed, plateau Jigue and northern plains Jaf (mixed east asian and afroindigenous)
Physical Appearance: tall, muscular, round facial features, light brown skin, dark reddish-brown hair with grey streaks at temples. Four crescent shaped scars on lower left cheek and underside of left jaw.
Innate Ability: Terra Sartor, Os Sartor (can manipulate minerals in the human body, specializes in manipulating bone)
Learned Ability: Videt Debiliti (can sense the weak points of others)
Associated animal: Red-tailed Hawk
Widowed husband to Tao Jiegi, current spouse to Ceres, sister and pseudo-father to Hope Jiegi and the Mae twins. Erhi was dethroned at age 25 after attempting to halt Jiguean military expansion into Silvae. She survived execution by her mother, Mae Bong-Cha, and she single-handedly defeated her own army at the Selvi border.
While concepts of gender and sexuality in Alemi do not neatly translate to identity labels in English, Erhi would likely identify as a cisgender butch lesbian. In English, Erhi would use she/her pronouns and masculine terms like sir, husband, and father. In-universe, Erhi uses a combination of status based neopronouns. Before her “execution”, Erhi uses the status pronoun qavi (KAH-vee), a combination of qa (high status), and vi (military status). Later in life, Erhi uses the status pronoun viye (VEE-yeh), a combination of vi (military status), and ye (liquid water, teacher). Erhi uses the social pronoun ren (caretaker, parent). Erhi uses the personal gender pronoun fana (fah-NAH), the masculine “she” pronoun in Alemi.
