Naturally, when Nao is told to stay after class is dismissed,she immediately figures it’s something she did wrong. Though she’s certain she couldn’t have done anything, her mind still races with endless ways this conversation could go. Everyone knew of Aizawa’s track record of suspensions as a teacher. Fidgeting under his intense stare, her eyes drop down to the manila folder before flitting up to meet his.

CERTAINLY, AN INTERESTING and good point. what better way to deceive and create chaos than to blend in a holiday meant to be someone other than oneself. after all, most horror movies followed that concept. where the villain lives among the innocent and dresses up when committing vicious acts. to take advantage of a holiday that was meant for good fun. it only took a few people to trample all over that. even going as far as to touch on the sinister origins of the holiday, basking the dark culture around it. the perfect time to come out and just run amok, as he put it.

the words, heavy with reason, certainly could put a damper on everything. mitsuri, though, she liked to believe there was good. if there wasn’t, if something threatened it, then that’s why they were here. to protect and save the innocent. plus, she just wanted the holiday to be enjoyed in a lighthearted manner, how it should be. dressing up as something one desired to be, to have fun, be amongst friends, and get all the candy one could possibly get. “it’ll be okay, i know it. the young ones deserve a little downtime like this. plus, that’s why we are here, in case things get ugly. as i like to say, ‘my heart--,” it was then with two small, twin little girls came by, dressed up as her, finished the rest of the quote she was famously heard saying.

“my heart will never throb for those who are on the side of evil!” the girls chirped with such mirth, their cheeks just as flustered as mitsuri's. they giggled before taking off with a wave and following after their mother, in a rush to knock on more doors for more candy.

Just for a moment, the teens widen before his gazed drifted of to the ground.

An odd habit from when he was young. Shutting his mouth. Either because of a bad day - sometimes an emotional turmoil but with that, he had, at last, the valid excuse he just 'forgets' or doesn't want to use his quirk on accident. It was a bad day for him.

But...he never spoke up when it came to Aizawa did he...afraid stepping out of line...upsetting him...messing this up in any shape or form.

Fear....was that what it was? His quirk was voiced based...this ridiculous..but it was just that wasn't it?  All his life, people made clear the rather have him silent, ignoring him or answering with hesitation. So much he started telling himself it was better. That this just how it was. Blunt he might be, there is a lot he rather keeps to himself.

And now there was his mentor - who wants him to speak, who doesn't want him to be silent. The first person to ever care and Shinsou was so scared of losing that.

The question was left unanswered for now, simply placing the plate of warm ooey cookies onto the kitchen table as she moved to make the man a coffee. To anyone else, she’d make a joke, but Emi knew that those never worked around Aizawa.
