I used for my filters Transparent, Yellow, Red Filles Folder, yellow grid from lemns, baking foils. All filteres I hold in front of my lens. I choose that image becouse I like that transparent folder with a small hole add nice blurry effect to my flowers in platic bag.

a) Colours influence all kinds of emotions and moods. Warm colours like Red, Orange, Pink and Yellow influence happiness, Cool colours like Blue, Purple and Green influence sadness or intense emotions, and Grey expresses dark moody emotions.

2)  Give examples of certain colours and how they are perceived to affect mood.

I chose one of my clean white background portraits of Shannon and Taylor to experiment with. I changed each portrait’s colour grading with the Colour Lock tool and then changing the layer effect in Photoshop.

OPTIMISATION:

1) Original image optimised via Adobe Bridge. Saved and converted from a RAW file to a JPEG file.

2) The Black & White conversion process in the Image = Adjustments = Black & White control panels via Photoshop.

3) Final optimised image with touches from the Burn and Dodge tools to add more shadow and light in other areas.

I shot a still life portrait of a Rubik’s Cube for the colour temperature task. I chose the cube because it looked colourful and stood out well in natural light.

This task involved capturing images with different temperature settings:

Daylight

Tungsten

Fluorescent

I shot 9 images all together, all with different temperatures and balances:

Daylight / Daylight,  Daylight / Fluorescent,  Daylight / Tungsten

Tungsten / Tungsten,  Tungsten / Daylight,  Tungsten / Fluorescent

Fluorescent / Fluorescent,  Fluorescent / Daylight,  Fluorescent / Tungsten

The still life images were shot on a tripod, with a standard 55mm lens. It took some time to get the images right because the sun often appeared, disappeared and reappeared whenever it liked. But it was an enjoyable task and good lesson.

NOTES:

The Daylight temperature with the Tungsten setting turns the background into a darker blue colour as the green squares look faint and the white squares look blue.

The Florescent temperature with the Daylight setting looks more natural and warmer.
