So managed to change the sox all by myself today (quite pleased with myself 🙂) but it is a work out especially when suffer from arthritis myself so will regret that later! Does this sound familiar....lots of time, money and emotional energy spent treating scratches/mud fever/dermatitis that won’t go away?? When all else has failed, Silver Whinnys SOXCEED!!! Take it from our Customers..... April 2019 - Annie came in one day in March with a stovepipe leg and a very small spot of seeping. Got under control with 10 days SMZs and an OTC scratches salve. August 2019 - scratches came back - daily topicals from three different vets, continued in rotation every three days changing up which one I was using for three months. May 2020 - Annie had been on SMZs two more times between August and May because she kept flirting with cellulitis. We then started her on a heavier antibiotic for 30 days. July 2020 - Finished Vet prescribed antibiotics and switched to anti-fungal treatment for 30 days. Began using an OTC wash and leaving on for an hour before rinsing, made some progress as you can see in the photos. End of July - Added OTC skin topical and her leg erupted overnight. Back to another round of SMZs, OTC wash, and using a vet prescribed cream daily. August 2020 - Continued with the wash every day and vet prescribed cream every night. Then I got my Sox 🎉🎉 First few days, I washed everyday and applied clean Sox but no more creams with steroids etc. After about a week, I stoped washing as she was clearing up and I continued to rotate clean Sox daily. Sep 15th first day with Sox. Last three photos were today, Oct 2020, not even thirty days after wearing Sox! I have stopped washing except for once every couple weeks and I am rotating clean Sox after 48 hours. She has completely cleared and for the first time in a very long time her skin is healthy and hair is growing back. So glad I am not killing good bacteria nor adding topical steroids daily to her system anymore.
