Description
Louis-Philippe and His Sons Riding Out from Versailles is an 1846 oil-on-canvas painting by the French artist Horace Vernet. It features a group portrait of Louis Philippe I and his sons riding out from the Palace of Versailles. Versailles, once the residence of the House of Bourbon during the Ancien rƩgime before the French Revolution, had been abandoned for several decades. During the July Monarchy Louis Philippe oversaw its restoration as a national museum. Vernet's painting commemorates its inauguration on 10 June 1837. The king rides out through the gates accompanied by his five sons the Duke of OrlƩans, the Duke of Nemours, the Prince of Joinville, the Duke of Aumale and the Duke of Montpensier. OrlƩans, the king's eldest son and heir, had subsequently died in a carriage accident in 1842.
The painting was commissioned by the king to hang in Versailles, where it remains.

Horse Shopping
Horse shopping is hardā¦
because you see their ad or talk to the owner and think:
ā this sounds like the one for me! This is horse is perfect!!ā
then you get out there and youāre riding the horse and you think:
ā okok! sure this horse is a little ADHD and needs a lot of leg but I can handle that!ā
So you talk to the owner and they agree to let you do a trial for a week or two and as youāre working with the horse and letting it settle at the barn and maybe have your Farrier check their feet ( your farrier which is very doomsday) and you start to think:
ā ok the farrier says that heās suspicious of why the horse has theses types of shoes and he did a good check and say that the horse maybe in pain or at least sensitive which isnāt good cause that means maybe a low hoof wall or smthing but that would it explain the weird look of the horses jump style and the reason the horse has been so temperamental about being riden and omg this horse isnāt for me at all!
So you send the horse back and youāre back to square one until you find another which could turn out like this one oor have an illness like shivers which causes the horse to be ring sour so horse shopping is a hard and very long process of getting hopes up and letting them down quicklyā¦ā¦But hey at least you have your amazing quarterhorse youāre leasing until November that you hope the owner will allow you to extend the lease incase you canāt find a horseā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ good luck horse shopping!
