Eddie Izzard will perform at Equality Utah's Allies Gala fundraiser at the Eccles Theater on Aug. 27.
Equality Utah has scheduled its first in-person Allies Gala fundraiser since 2019, and has booked comedian Eddie Izzard to headline the event.
The gala is set for Aug. 27, at the Eccles Theatre, 131 S. Main St. in downtown Salt Lake City.
Tickets are available online, through EqualityUtah.org. Individual tickets are $295 — access to general reception and after-party is an additional $100. Third-tier seats are $195.
Proceeds will go to support Equality Utah’s programs and lobbying efforts

Jeff Green, who might be the richest man in Utah, donated $600,000 to an LGBTQ support group in Salt Lake City. Green, who was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, left the faith over a decade ago. Tomorrow (March 30th), the organization Equality Utah, who are focused on helping out LGBT+ people and their families in the state of Utah, is doing a fundraiser. A generous donor has offered to match, dollar for dollar, whatever is donated, up to $2,000.
Being a member of the LGBT+ community is not fun in this state. There’s still so much stigma and hatred. Utah is a far cry from accepting queer kids. Suicide is still one of the leading causes of teen death in this state.
It would mean the world if you could help out me and my state in this, and also help your fellow queer kids <3
