WOW was it worth it!🤩 One of the Top 10 best hazy DIPAs I’ve ever had.😳 Just glad I’ve got 3 more of ‘em left! ♥️ FLUCTUATION DIPA | 8.0% Equilibrium Brewery [Middletown, NY] Fluctuation pours a very hazy tangerine color, releasing bright tropical notes of passion fruit, mango, pineapple, and lychee with an undercurrent of sorbet and cream. Fluctuation tastes highly resinous and tropical with an assertive yet soft bitterness. That’s their words. My words… %#?$&@! #Repost @blondebrewreviews ・・・ Pouring my way through the week like... ___ I can’t get enough of @eqbrewery ‘s pale ale, Photon. It’s so dreamy & smooth with a lighter 4.8% ABV. Don’t get me wrong, I love the heavy hitting DIPAs and TIPAs, strong ABV sours, and all that craft hipster juice, however... Why does it have to be a competition lately for who can make the strongest IPA? I actually enjoy having one or two glasses of something without getting hammered. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Maybe that’s an unpopular opinion. 😆 I just think sometimes ABV needs to be lower in some cases. Give me options! MLABVCBA: Make lower ABV craft beers again. If you know me well, you know I’m pretty much blind without my contacts. 20/20 Vision from @eqbrewery and @shortthrowbrewing will have you seeing straight! It is clear that this beer is fantastic! Large quantities of Citra and Idaho 7 were used in the whirlpool and then it was dry hopped with Citra, Strata, and Galaxy! This one has tropical notes including guava and mango! This goes down so very smooth and makes for a crushable brew even at 8.2%! Similar to other sought-after IPAs, it has been much easier to find on draft - the same kegs that kick in an hour at Brew Crew take a day or two to kick at bars, with the above picture of Fractal Citra taken at Albany Ale & Oyster. This happens to be my favorite of theirs yet - super smooth hop juice with grapefruit, melon, orange, and mango. While I particularly enjoy Photon, their DIPAs have - for me - a bit too much hops (yes, such a thing does exist, as I have personally experienced with my homebrew); even they describe mc² as “chewy,” which just isn’t a selling point personally. But that’s my two cents - Untappd ratings sure seem to disagree with me!
