Let's begin to say that I'm not quite the fastest to grow up and mature. I've made poor choices in life that I will probably reflect back to years from now and not understand why those choices were made. However being in college has really changed the way I perceive certain things. Â I've been able to acquire really great life lessons in the most unimaginable way.
Sometimes growing up has to be done the hard way. Mistakes are simply mistakes. And honestly, I don't really understand what truly defines a "mistake." Â Most of the time it's a blessing in disguise. I'm truly happy to be where I am today. Â I've learned a great deal of myself and how I absolutely want to live my life. There's always going to be people that envy you or despise you for a particular reason, but you know what? It just simply doesn't matter. Â You define yourself.
My future is a great deal of importance. Â As boring as classes are, I love to continue to learn. Throughout my years in college, I've taken a myriad of courses that helped me grow and be open to new things. I've put myself into various disciplines and fields of study, such as business/economics, technology, philosophy, religion, world languages, legal studies, nutrition, and even environmental sciences.Â
Each of these classes taught me many things and most importantly what I want to do with my life. Â I strive to become the best person as I can be. Â I want to be successful in my concentration/degree (eventually in the government) while at the same time helping the world. Â I try to be as open to new ideas and have my mind constantly thinking and flowing. Â Also, I want to travel the world and experience different cultures.Â
At the University of Georgia, it gave me the opportunity that I have been seeking, which is a lifetime's worth of knowledge and lessons. Â I'm truly blessed to be given this opportunity. Â It's scary to realize that I have one more year to get myself together for the real world.
For my last words, I believe you've just got to stay true to your heart, never stop believing, and create your own beautiful sunshine.
