he snags the first person he sees , opting to ask them for information regarding the  .  .  .   total weirdness that’s going on . like why there are numbers on his hand , or why he’s all alone , or what this bizarre text message means . 

suspicion creeps through his tone & there’s an air of seriousness that hides a pulsing anxiety . before continuing , he holds out his hand to the other , displaying the numbers .
