Hi - I dug a little through your blog. I'm in the undergrad secondary English program. One of your classmates teaches down the hall from me. I've only heard snippets about the horrors of your recitation class but I hope your final weeks go well.
i think you may have me confused with someone else. i'm not in a recitation class--i don't think i've ever had one. right now, i'm taking a student teaching practicum and a special education overview course. in any case, thank you for the well wishes, and i wish you luck with your undergrad program. is it a program that leads to certification?

Thurs. March 5 at 6:45 pm: Wings of Desire (1987) - introduced by Wim Wenders and Peter Handke
Sat. March 7 at 1:30 pm: Until the End of the World (1991) - introduced by Wim Wenders (a rare screening of the director's cut; it's 295 (!) minutes and will have one 10-minute intermission)
Sun. March 8 at 4:15 pm: Wrong Move (1975)
Wed. March 11 at 6:15 pm: Paris, Texas (1984)
Thurs. March 12 at 6:30 pm: Buena Vista Social Club (1999)
Fri. March 13 at 7:00 pm or Sun. March 15 at 6:00 pm: Faraway, So Close! (1993)

I may decide on more; it's hard to say right now. It's too bad that I can't go to anything on Mondays and Tuesdays because of school (my classes on both days run from 11:45 am to 8:30 pm - ugh). But I really want to shake off my usual laziness and go to every one of those screenings because this is such an amazing opportunity. Also, now that I'm a MoMA member I can get my ticket online AND get up to five guest tickets for only $5 each. So I would totally do that, man. Practically every day a Wim Wenders movie-viewing party!
