I apologize for this being a little late, life sort of hit me like a freight train and this was the fastest time I could post it! (Itâs not technically the next day if you never went to sleep right?) I hope you all enjoy my first AU fic!! I went a little overboard, sorry I got excited! Enchanted is one of my favorite movies so I had to do it justice! (GIFs not mine)
A girlâs wedding day is one of the biggest days of her life. Long white gown, beautiful flowers, and the man of her dreams waiting down the isle for her. Prepared to spend the rest of their lives together, living happily ever after. However, that is not what Y/Nâs wedding day entailed. Alas, she was picked out from all of the unwed maidens in the kingdom of Caelum to marry the bachelor Prince Michael. A man she did not love, and barely knew.
Y/N lived in a lovely little cottage just beyond the walls of King Chuckâs castle. It was a simple home with stone walls, a wooden roof, and a grand flower garden that surrounded it. Y/N loved flowers: roses, sunflowers, orchids, peonies, violets, and her favorite tiger lilies; were all planted around the cottage. If she could spend her entire life in a garden, she would be the happiest girl in the world.
She lived in that cottage her entire life with her Aunt Donna, who raised her since birth. After her parents died in a stable fire when Y/N was only a baby, Donna took on the responsibility of raising her niece as her own child. Â On Y/Nâs 10th birthday she found a stray black cat with piercing blue eyes roaming around the garden, he introduced himself as Castiel. From that day forward Y/N and Castiel became the best of friends, the two of them were instantly inseparable. They all lived in their own little world, everything was perfect. Until Y/N was called into the castle to see King Chuck himself.
When the King insists that Y/N marry his son, there isnât much choice in the matter. It was either marriage or move her whole world far away from the castleâs walls. So here she was white gown, diamond tiara, and white rose bouquet; about to walk down the isle to marry a man she met only a few days prior.
Y/N stared at her reflection in the mirror, thinking about what the rest of her life was going to look like. She didnât want to pick up and move her life away, but she didnât want to marry Michael either. It wasnât that he was a bad man, there just werenât any sparks. Sure he was intelligent, handsome, and charming; but he just wasnât her Prince Charming.
Castiel begged Y/N to tell her what was wrong, but Y/N had to keep her deal with King Chuck a secret. If Michael were ever to find out about their arrangement, there would be hell to pay. So she suffered in silence, praying for a way out of this mess she was tangled in.
Soon Y/N began to experience a sunken feeling in her chest. When she imagined her wedding day she saw herself marrying the love of her life, not at the end of some extortion deal. She began pacing around the room, her long lace train following behind.
âI canât do this⌠I canât do thisâŚâ She repeated to herself. Castiel tried his best to calm his friend down, but there was no use. Panic shot down her spine like lightning. Y/N felt the tears swell in her eyes, fighting to break free, before she heard a voice.
âDonât ruin your pretty face darlin'. Iâm sure Prince Michael would hate to see his beautiful bride with black stains down her cheeksâ
Y/N turned around to see a petite red headed woman standing at the threshold of her changing room. Her cat like eyes were lined with dark kohl with lips as red as her hair. She was wearing a black velvet cloak with an emerald gown lined with gold. Y/N had never seen this woman before, and there was something about her that gave Y/N the chills.
âWho are you?â Y/N asked, curiosity getting the best of her. Castiel hissed at the mystery woman, sensing danger.
âMy name is Rowena. I am here to help you.â
Before Y/N knew it she was running down the corridors, Castiel in her arms, and following Rowena to some unknown hidden room in the castle walls. Rowena told her that she could make her problems disappear, that soon all her prayers would be answered.
When Rowena unlocked the door hidden behind the Kingâs portrait; Y/N and Castiel found themselves in a room filled with beakers, books, and broomsticks. Y/N had a feeling that something wasnât right, but she thought this might be better than the alternative. Rowena lead Y/N and her furry friend to a mirror nearly twice her size. It had a golden ornate border with the Kingâs crest at the top. Â
"They say that mirrors are portals my dear... They are magical things that reveal one's truest desires..." When Rowena spoke it was as if ice flowed through Y/N's veins, something was wrong, but she couldn't find herself to able to leave. Castiel begged Y/N to walk away from the mirror, but for whatever reason she was drawn to it. She felt as if this force was dragging her closer, even if she wanted to run away she couldn't.
"That's right dearie, just a few steps closer..." Y/N turned around trying find something in the room to get her to stop moving forward. Rowena rolled her eyes, this was taking too long for her liking. So she did the next best thing, she pushed Y/N and Castiel into the looking glass. The reflection rippling as it swallowed them whole.
Y/N found herself walking along some unfamiliar hills with thick lines dancing across them. She had never seen grass cut so short, and she couldnât quite understand the purpose of it. Y/N tried to collect herself, but her mind was still hazy. She looked down to see Castiel walking beside her, but he looked different. His fur was much more detailed, and his eyes were much smaller. Then her eyes followed her own form, that is when she began to panic. Her body was completely different. She felt along her face and hair, and the experience was indescribable. Her head began to spin, all she wanted to do was go back home to her cottage with Aunt Donna. Everything had changed; the world she was in was brighter, richer, and completely overwhelming.
âFore!â
Y/N heard a manâs voice before she noticed a small white sphere race across her face, nearly hitting her. She turned to see four men walking towards her, one of them looking quite angry.
âHey watch it lady! What do you think youâre doing here?â
Y/N didnât know what to do, so she picked up Castiel and started running. She had no clue where she was heading, all she knew was that she didnât want to be there anymore. Y/N followed signs painted with arrows pointing to a Stanford University. She didnât know what a university was, but she had a feeling that there could be somebody there that could help.
âOh Castiel what should we do? How do we get home?â Y/N looked down to her friend waiting for a response. He hadnât said a word since the two of them landed, and she was beginning to worry.
âMeowâ Castielâs little eyes began to widen, unaware of the sounds he was making. Y/N picked him up trying to investigate the problem.
âCastiel? Why wonât you say something?â
Castiel meowed again in response, he was trying to speak but found himself unable to form the words. He only shook his head in defeat. Y/N held him close to her chest giving him a gentle squeeze.
âItâll be alright Castiel, weâll figure something out soonâŚâ
Y/N entered the grounds of Stanford University in complete awe. The biggest place sheâd previously seen was the Kingâs castle, but Stanford rivaled that. There were trees surrounding the different buildings that Y/N had never seen before, walking on the fresh grass was the only thing remotely familiar to her. The people she saw walking around dressed very differently then back home. Both the men and women wore clothing that barely covered their skin, with styles that showed great variety. It was both intriguing and shocking to see women lying on the ground with fabric only hiding their most private areas. Y/N wandered the grounds trying to formulate a plan, but was interrupted by strangers.
âYo Princess, get lost on your way to Disneyland?â said one incredibly rude man walking with his group of friends.
âI didnât realize we had royalty here!â said another man sitting by a group of nearly naked women.
âHey whereâs Prince Charming?â a golden haired girl shout a few yards behind Y/N.
Castiel rubbed up against Y/N trying to comfort her, but the comments began to get under her skin. She didât understand why these people were acting so cruel. She did nothing to them, all she wanted to do was to go home. Y/N began to give up hope. She found the closest bench to rest on, and threw herself on it. Castiel nestled beside her legs, trying to give her any sense of comfort that he could. Y/N couldnât hold back the tears any longer, she let the waterworks flow as she wept underneath the hot sun.
âHey, are you alright?â
Y/N looked up to see who the first kind words she heard today belonged to. After her eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight she saw an incredibly tall handsome man standing before her. She tried to form the words to respond to him, but was met with only tears and quivering lips. Y/N shook her head as she continued to sob. The man sat beside her and placed a reassuring hand over her own.
âHey hey itâs going to be okay. Are you hurt? Do you need me to call a doctor?â
âNo⌠I-Iâm not hurtâŚâ Y/N wiped the tears from her eyes, attempting to gather her composure.
âIs there anything I can do?â Y/N looked into the manâs eyes, there was something about those kaleidoscope eyes that made her feel as though she could trust him. Even though she was just betrayed by that witch Rowena, there was something different about him. She didnât feel the sense of dread that she felt before. Â
âI need helpâŚâ
âAlright then, letâs get you some help. Iâm Sam by the way⌠Sam Winchesterâ He smiled as he stood up from the bench they shared, letting out a hand for her to grasp.
âMy name is Y/N Y/L/N, and this is my friend Castielâ Y/N took Samâs hand as she stood, feeling the warmth that came from his touch. Castiel climbed up Y/Nâs dress, wanting to stay close to her in case this Sam character had any sinister motives. Although Castiel was on guard, Sam chuckled at the catâs peculiar gesture.
âOkay, letâs get you two out of the sunâ When Sam let go of Y/Nâs hand  she felt a slight emptiness. All she wanted was to feel his touch once more, but that would highly inappropriate for a young lady to behave in such a way. Especially an engaged one.
Y/N didn't know that her life would be filled with such joy after her arranged engagement with Michael, but here she was in a state called California with Sam Winchester. A man who took in a complete stranger in a white gown, knowing she needed his help. After Y/N met Sam in the "quad" he brought her back to his campus apartment, which she learned to be a building in which multiple people lived in. Sam lent Y/N some of his girlfriend Jessica's clothes, hoping she wouldn't mind once she returned from Spring Break in Tijuana. Y/N's heart sank when she found out what a girlfriend was, but quickly buried the girlish feeling away. She was an engaged women, he was a taken man, and that was the end of it. At least that's what she told herself.
Once Y/N got settled in she began to tell Sam her story, thinking he deserved to know who she was if he was going to help her. Sam hung onto to every word that came out of Y/N's mouth, astounded by the things she was saying. Anybody else would just label Y/N as crazy, and they wouldn't necessarily be blamed for it. Hearing a story about a soon to be Princess coming from a land of fairy tale with talking animals, fantasy kingdoms, witches, and magic mirrors sounds like something straight out of a Disney movie. However, against Sam's better judgment, he believed every word. He felt something deep down inside, and from that he knew she was telling the truth. When he thought about it more, scientists have been talking about theories involving multiple dimensions for years. Was it so far fetched that Y/N came from one of those dimensions? A dimension where everything one would read in a fairy tale were true? Sam didn't see a deranged lunatic in front of him, he saw a confused lost girl who just wanted to see her family again.
When Y/N told Sam about the arranged marriage his heart ached for her. He imagined what it would be like, being forced to spend the rest of your life with someone you didn't love. Unfortunately, Sam didn't have to imagine it too hard. Y/N couldn't understand why she was telling this stranger all of this personal information about herself, there was just something about the way Sam looked at her that made her believe that she could tell him anything.
When Sam got a call from his brother the following day saying he was coming for a surprise visit, he had to come up with a believable backstory for Y/N, and fast.
"Okay so my brother Dean should be here any minute. Do you want to go over your story one more time?"
"My name is Y/N. I'm an exchange student from Canada who is studying Botany here at Stanford..."
"Wait, why Botany?" Sam interrupted.
"I like flowers, can I please continue?" Y/N responded, a hint of sass in her voice. Sam shook his head, thinking about how this girl was just full of surprises.
"Anyway... I'm studying Botany here at Stanford and needed a place to stay. Since you have an extra room after your previous roommate Brady moved out when he joined the Pi Sigma fraternity, you offered the room to me. No mention of talking animals, witches, or princes." Sam nodded, hoping to get through this visit without drawing unnecessary attention on Y/N.
A few minutes later Sam's brother Dean began knocking on the door. Sam had told Y/N a lot about his family after she told him about her own past. He talked about his mother Mary, who died in an electrical fire when they were younger, and how his father John had to raise them by himself. It was something both Y/N and Sam had in common that the two of them wished they didn't. Â
John was a mechanic from Lawrence, Kansas, where both Winchester brothers grew up. Dean was a few years older than Sam, and recently graduated from MIT. Dean was offered a job in the area designing new infrastructure. Since he was so close to Stanford, he decided to stop by.
"Hey how's my baby brother!" Dean embraced his brother in a tight hug, patting him on the back. Before Sam could respond, Dean drew his attention to the strange girl in the room. âAnd who might you be?â
âMy name is Y/N, Iâm an exchange student from Canadaâ Y/N fiddled with the skirt of her dress, attempting to distract herself from her nerves.
âOh yea where from?â Dean moved away from Sam, and placed his full attention onto this beautiful new girl staying in his brotherâs apartment.
âCaelumâ She responded out of reflex, instantly realizing her mistake she winced, hoping Dean wouldnât catch on to her ruse. Dean furrowed his eyebrows, confused by her response.
âUgh yea Caelum, itâs a small town near Vancouver!â Y/N sighed in relief, Dean seamed to believe his brotherâs quick reply. For now, her secret was safe.
The following days Y/N spent her time with both Winchester brothers, grateful for Samâs generosity in inviting her to stay with him. Castiel instantly grew attached to Dean, and to the older Winchesterâs surprise, found himself not allergic to the unique cat. From the moment Dean met Y/N he knew there was something different about her. The way she carried herself, and her choice of words led him to question her story. That, and the fact she took his brotherâs curtains to make this medieval-esque dress, and the way she talks to animals as if they were going to respond back to her were adding to her questionable history.
However, Dean didnât push it. He noticed the way Sam and Y/N interacted with each other, and the way his eyes shined when he looked to her; he knew his brother had strong feelings for this quirky stranger. As spring break drew to a close, Dean pulled his brother to the side and questioned him on his relationship with Y/N. Sam shut it down immediately, saying they were only friends, that he was giving her a helping hand. Dean reminded Sam that he had his girlfriend Jessica, and even though Dean didnât like her that much, it wouldnât be fair to her if Sam wasnât invested in their relationship.
Sam denied the accusation, told his brother repeatedly that he was happy with Jessica. However, Sam didnât know if he was trying to convince his brother of this, or if he was really trying to convince himself.
âHey Sam! Iâm back early! I brought you back a shot glass from Tijuana. Donât ask me too much from the trip, I was so wasted the days kinda blurred togetherâŚâ Jessica waltzed in through the front door, dropping her bags immediately on the floor. She looked around her boyfriendâs apartment and noticed a change.
The curtains were new, the floors were clean, the cobwebs were dusted away, and the whole space smelled like lemon Pledge. Sam cleaned? Jessica thought to herself. The answer to this mystery came in the form of another young woman in a dress that looked like it came from Stanfordâs theatre department.
âOh! You must be Jessica! Itâs so great to meet you!â Y/N immediately ran to Jessica, giving her a friendly hug. Jessica stood there in shock, she had no idea who this chick was, and why she was in her boyfriendâs apartment. Alone.
âSam!â Jessica shouted, detaching from Y/N as quick as she could. The moment Sam heard his girlfriendâs voice, he knew he was in trouble. He neglected to tell her that Y/N even existed, let alone living with him. He slowly made his way to the living room, finding his girlfriend of over a year standing in the middle of the room with her arms across her chest and her famous stink face. Y/N was standing to the side, unsure of where to place herself in that moment.
âSo Jessica, I know you must be confusedâŚâ
âItâs Jessâ She snapped, interrupting Y/N. Jess turned her attention back to Sam, and Y/N knew that it would be best to leave them be. Y/N took Castiel and left, thinking of ways to try to get Sam out of trouble.
Rowenaâs plan to get rid of Y/N didnât go exactly as planned. Her goal was to be rid of Michaelâs new bride in order to stick it to King Chuck for imprisoning his eldest son Prince Lucifer, Rowenaâs ex fiancĂŠ. She thought Y/N would disappear completely when she went into the magic mirror, not end up in some hectic futuristic world.
At first Rowena believed everything would be okay, neither King Chuck nor Michael knew where Y/N was. However, when the Kingâs chief magical advisor Gabriel informed him on Y/N whereabouts, Rowena began to panic. King Chuck sent his son Michael to retrieve his bride to be in this strange world, little did he know, the witch that sent her there was going to tag along for the ride.
Y/N had came up with a brilliant plan to help Sam. Y/N and Castiel ran all around the grounds of Stanford University searching for the items they needed, if everything went right Jess should be less harsh on Sam. The last thing Y/N wanted was for Sam to get into trouble because he helped her, and even though a part of her wished he wasnât with Jess, she knew that this was the right thing to do.
Petals began to follow Y/N as she hiked up the stairs to Samâs apartment, she prayed that she made the right call with her choice of flower. The time that Y/N stayed with Sam, she noticed how many of Jessâ belongings have daisies on them. Going on this information Y/N decided to find as many daisies as possible, put them into a large vase, and write a note from âSamâ to his girlfriend. Itâs not enough to take the one you love for granted, Y/N knew that if Sam reminded Jess how much he loved her, that Jess wouldnât be so angry. At least, that is what Y/N would do.
âSam, Jess, can you come out for second?â Y/N heard grumbles coming from Samâs bedroom, and waited for a few minutes before they both came out. Both Sam and Jessâ eyes widened at the sight of Y/N carrying a massive bouquet of daisies in her arms.
âWhatâs all of this?â Jess turned over to Sam, searching for an explanation.
âI ran into the flower delivery man downstairs and decided to carry them up for him. Sam didnât know you were coming early, or else he would have these already laid out for you. Theyâre a present! Daisies are your favorite, right?â Y/Nâs worry turned into relief when Jessâ scowl turned into a sincere smile. The spritely blonde squealed as she raced over to the flowers, Sam stood back confused. When Sam turned to Y/N attempting to gather some information, she held a finger to her lips and shot him a wink. Thatâs when Sam realized, Y/N did this. For him.
âEverybody wants to live happily ever after, everybody wants to know their true love is true. Although it may seem that I forget, I need you to know I never do.
The daisy is known as a symbol of true love, for it is really two flowers matched together in harmony. I give you this symbol of my affections, to show you how much you mean to me.
I missed you Jess, it brings me great joy to know you are finally here. Accept this gift and be with me, for I love you so much my dear. ~ Sam Winchesterâ Jess read off the note in the flower arrangement, tears of joy filling her eyes. She ran to Sam, wrapping her arms around his neck in a tight embrace. Sam held onto Jess, but had his eyes set on Y/N.
His mind began to race with hundreds of thoughts running through his head. The most romantic thing that happened to Jess throughout their entire relationship was something he didnât do. It wasnât that he wasnât the romantic type, he just never felt that he should do any of those things. He thought he was in love with Jess, they were together for a long time, it made sense. But here he was, in a room with two women. One he was with for over a year, yet didnât know what her favorite flower was. The second he met barely a week ago, and felt as if he knew everything about her.
Sam knew that Y/Nâs favorite thing was to watch the sunset in her garden with her cat Castiel. Her favorite color was orange, the exact shade coming from the tiger lily, which was her favorite flower. Y/N preferred making dresses out of bedroom curtains than shopping at the local mall. She could spend all day in the dirt with her beloved plants, despite the mess it would make every time. He knew that Y/N loved poetry. She believed that true love exists, and that she could find it some day. In spite of the fact that she was to be married to some Prince in another dimension that she was forced in to. How was it that Sam knew so much about a near stranger, but couldnât say Jessâ phone number without looking it up in his phone. Sam was in trouble, more so than he would care for.
The Stanford University Anniversary Gala was the biggest party the college held throughout the entire year. Invitations were handed out to top students and important figures within the community. Both Winchester brothers were invited, for their academic and and career success. Jess was so excited to go to such a prestigious event as Samâs plus one, assuming he was going to take her. Sam would be lying if he wasnât just a tad disappointed, but he wasnât the only one.
Y/N watched as Jess dressed for the wonderful party she was attending that evening, hating the jealous feeling that sunk in her skin. It wasnât just that Jess was going to a fantastic ball, but she was going with Sam.
The moment he left his bedroom dressed in a tuxedo, Y/Nâs breath hitched in her throat. Castiel mewed, even though Y/N couldnât understand him, she knew that he was judging her. Â She was fantasizing over a man in a committed relationship, something that was undesirable in this world and the world she came from before.
Y/N threw herself on the couch once Sam and Jess left for the evening, deciding to bury her sorrows in food that came in colorful bags and moving pictures. What Y/N didnât expect was to hear a knock at the door, she walked over to find Dean on the other side.
âI know this is last minute, but I like to consider myself a spontaneous personâ
Dean walked into the Gala first, trying to find his brother and Jess. Y/N remained at the top of stairs, letting her nerves get the best of her. Dean had come to the door with an invitation, a stunning dress, and instructed Y/N to get dressed within 15 minutes. Y/N wasnât used to fabric draped so tightly against her frame, but was reassured when Dean said she looked âsmoking hot.â The harder part was sneaking Castiel into the party, Y/N refused to leave without him. So underneath Deanâs jacket, was a small black cat hidden away.
Little did Y/N know she wasnât the only person from home at the Gala that night. Both Michael and Rowena traveled from the Kingdom of Caelum to Stanford University, with the goal of getting to Y/N before the other.
Jess was babbling about some beach in Tijuana when Sam first noticed Y/N making her way down the grand staircase. Her red dress hugged every curve of her body, leaving just enough to the imagination. The sweetheart neckline showed just the right amount of Y/Nâs dĂŠcolletage without being too much, and the long slit revealed her long legs beneath. She was a bombshell, and had nearly every manâs attention as she walked down those steps, especially his own. When Samâs eyes met with Y/Nâs it was as if she was the only girl in the room. Sam made his way over to her, but was interrupted when another man met her at the bottom of the staircase.
âY/N?â Her eyes widened in shock as she laid eyes on the man standing before her. Prince Michael.
Samâs heart sank as he watched Michael pull Y/N away from the crowds, he immediately knew who he was based on the look on her face. She was going home, to marry that Prince who didnât even know her. Sam raced past his brother and girlfriend, wanting nothing more than a stiff drink.
Sam was nursing his third drink of the night when he caught Rowenaâs eyes. The fiery witch had been watching Y/N and Samâs interactions for a few days prior to the Gala. At first Rowena was going to merely kill the young lady out of spite for ruining her plans, but after her surveillance she came up with a more sinister plan. She knew Y/N had zero intentions in returning to the world she was once from, so Rowena decided to remove the one thing that was keeping her anchored to this wretched world. If Sam Winchester were to die, she would be forced to return to King Chuckâs castle, where Rowena would finally execute her original plan of action.
Rowena slipped one of her trusty potions in Samâs fourth drink, he didnât even notice she was there. He had his eyes glued onto Y/N the entire evening, making sure she didnât leave without saying goodbye. Sam took a final sip of his drink and decided to confront Y/N about her decision to leave, he only made half of the distance before collapsing.
Y/N saw Sam fall and immediately broke into a sprint, her heart was racing, fear coursing through her veins. Dean wasnât too far behind, Castiel hitching a ride still hidden inside his jacket.
Y/N lifted Samâs head onto her lap, searching for a source of life in him. Dean checked his pulse, and to both of their relief he was still alive. Thatâs when Y/N heard a familiar laughter behind her.
âOh dear looks like yer moose of a man is down for the count!â
Y/N gently placed Sam back down as she turn to face Rowena.
âWhat did you do to him you bitch!â Y/N cursed, anger and adrenaline flowing through her like electricity.
âOh donât worry my darlinâ heâs only sleeping⌠until the clock strikes midnight. That is when his sleep becomes⌠permanentâ
Y/N began to panic, Sam was in trouble and she didnât know what to do. All she wanted to do was take everything back in that moment. She wished she would have just married Michael and avoided all of these problems, that way Sam would be safe, not nearly dead on the floor of the Stanford Gala. Jess stood by in shock as Y/N fell beside Samâs unconscious body, holding onto him for dear life.
âY/N Sam told me everythingâŚâ Dean whispered in a voice barely above audible.
âSo? What does that have to do with anything?â Tears were streaming down Y/Nâs cheeks, frustrated with her helplessness.
âWell donât you come from fairy tale land? A land where true loveâs kiss breaks any curse? Ya know, like Sleeping Beauty!â Y/N looked to Dean with wide eyes, he was right.
âJess! Jess you have to kiss Sam!â
Y/N backed away from Sam, praying that this would work. Jess kneeled beside Sam and placed a kiss onto his rapidly cooling lips. Nothing. She tried again, and came to the same result. All three of their hearts sank as Rowena continued to laugh at their misery.
âY/N⌠you do itâ Jess turned to Y/N, willing to try anything to bring him back.
âWhat? I-I donât know⌠Jess IâŚâ
âWill you stop it! I know youâre in love with him! I knew it when you wrote that note for him in the flowers⌠Sam doesnât know anything about flowers⌠Just do it. Quickly.â Both Jess and Dean stood up and away from Sam, giving Y/N some space. She had never kissed anyone before, she expected her first kiss to be on her wedding day, but things rarely ever go according to plan.
Y/N brushed her fingers through Samâs chestnut locks, resting her hand on the side of his cheek. She took a deep breath, it was now or never. Y/N closed her eyes and slowly leaned down, placing a gentle kiss onto Samâs lips.
His lips were as soft as butter; tasting like spirits and spearmint. Within moments Samâs lips began to move against Y/Nâs, tears of joy soon splashed against his face. In that moment, Y/N felts sparks. It was as if every fiber of her being was vibrating all at once. Her face was flushed, and her breathing soon became heavy. It was a kiss filled with passion and love, more than enough to break Rowenaâs curse.
When Sam and Y/N finally detached, smiles replaced both of their looks of fear from before. Rowena stood back in shock, having her plans ruined once again by this stupid girl, she escaped into the crowd as more people began hovering over the younger Winchester. Sam slowly sat up, his eyes never leaving Y/Nâs for a second. Dean stood back holding Castiel, who wasnât all too thrilled with the current situation. Y/N had fallen in love with another man, and his heart ached with the thought that she would have to soon give him up to marry Prince Michael. Y/N didnât let those thoughts cross her mind, all her focus was on Sam. He was alive, he was okay, thatâs all that mattered.
âWhat happened?â Samâs face was only inches away from Y/Nâs, her cheeks began to flush as tried to explain their situation.
âRowena poisoned you with something⌠You were stuck in a sleep like trance and were going to die if you didnât awake before midnightâŚâ
âHow did I wake up?â Y/Nâs nerves were sitting her at full force. What if this was a fluke? What if Jessâ kiss just took time to work? What if Sam didnât love her like she loved him?
âDean came up with idea of breaking the curse with true loveâs kiss⌠Me being from fairy tale land and allâŚâ Sam sat there silently, waiting for Y/N to continue.
âI asked Jess to come over and kiss you⌠She did it twice and nothing worked⌠Thatâs when she asked me to do it⌠and⌠andâŚâ Before Y/N could finish her sentence Samâs lips were already against her own, making her melt with every touch.
Thatâs when she felt it again, the spark. A feeling she never thought she would be able to experience for herself. In that moment she didnât care that Rowena was still at large, and that her fiancĂŠ was only yards away. Jess gave Y/N the permission to show her love for Sam, and when she knew that he loved her the same, there was no way she was going to leave him.
Y/N never thought she would experience a âhappy ever afterâ for herself, but here in Samâs arms, she was finally beginning to believe she could. Y/N finally found her true Prince Charming. Not behind large castle walls, but in a school designed for higher learning. He was a desperately needed breath of fresh air, and Y/N couldnât get enough.
A/N 2.0: I could have easily made this fic twice as long as it is! Iâll probably write a minor part 2 to this fic, so I can incorporate more of the ending of the film within this ending. Canât get enough Princess!Reader x Sam action!
