The English language in my daily routine
Hi! My name is Érica. I graduated in Nutrition. I am 26 years old and I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I started studying English recently, at the beginning of 2022. During my day-to-day life I always come across english words or phrases. I believe that English is included in our culture. However, throughout my graduation I realized the importance of English for studies. That's why I decided I needed to understand English. Currently I think it is necessary to understand English. English can open many doors of studies. Because English is a universal language, it has a part of its culture immersed in all other cultures in the world. Every day we listen to songs or english words. In a way this contact impacts our culture. English affects my routine because it is very present. I listen to music, I need to read scientific articles in English... not understanding English makes it difficult for my day-to-day tasks.

Is radiation of food dangerous?
From my point of view, i support radiation feeding because there is enough information and an organism that supports this practice as viable and there is no harm to human physical health.
First, irradiated foods are safe. Irradiation makes meat and poultry safer by reducing the numbers of harmful bacteria and parasites. Food irradiation does not make foods radioactive. The radiant energy passes through the food. The food itself never contacts the source of the radiant energy. Irradiated foods are wholesome and nutritious. Nutrient losses caused by irradiation are less than or about the same as losses caused by cooking and freezing. This is proven because, the public health agencies worldwide have evaluated the safety of food irradiation over the last fifty years and found it to be safe. In 37 countries more than 40 food products are irradiated. In some European countries, irradiation has been in use for decades.
Second, radiation from food reduces the risk of bacterial poisoning because it exposes bacteria to free radicals that are highly reactive and can disrupt cell division. The needed free radicals are generated by bombarding the food with gamma rays released from a cobalt-60 source. This does not make the food radioactive or dangerous in any way. For example, radiation kills the bacteria e. coli, listeria and salmonella, they come on food and leave several people a year in the hospital.
Lastly, radiation helps pest control in agriculture, destroying insects in fruits and food. Irradiation also decreases the need for other pest-control practices that may harm the fruit. As the radiation can be used to sterilize prey, hosts, and factitious hosts to prevent further development of the pest insects and thus remove the need for labour intensive separation procedures.
To sum up, irradiating food does not make it radioactive. In fact no one has died from the radiation, but from the bacteria in the food. This proves people's ignorance and how they refuse to change. Food will not lose its taste, texture or nutritional value due to radiation, this is a fact that should be learned by now.
[Music] Jake Scott - Hello, Darling.
Jake Scott is a Singer-songwriter, who’s a indie style.
This song it’s about girls who compare yourself’s to other people. He asks her to slow down. He throws questions in the air about ‘where is she going’ and ‘where has she been’ quetioning why she’s in a hurry.
Most of the time some girls pretend to be okay , but it’s not true, and in this song he sings for a girl who’s convincing herself that she's good enough, always pining for men attentions.
He asks to her give a rest to her eyes so maybe she's always crying because of those guys who make her feel inferior, or feel the need to think that she needs to be good enough who’s not true.
Jake Scott have many musics who treat about girls and nature and it’s always methaforic and good vibes, he always tries to bring a romantic air of self-love in his songs, as in 'the man I wanted to be' that talks about how he wanted to be / act with the person he loves, there is already a suggestion of another song for you give a check
Do you like songs that talk about self-esteem and love yourself the way it is?

English 100: Cyberbiography
My Web Journey
Surprisingly, I remember the first time I logged on to the internet. It was after the many times I heard, “Ask your parents and log on to Disneychannel.com for games and more!” I was about four or five (so young, I know!) when my dad taught me how to search things in Google. I then found myself at 9 years old trying to make my own MySpace profile without my parents knowing. After my first time on the internet, I loved it, or what I knew of it. I loved the idea of talking to my friends online, of finding (alomst) any song I wanted to listen to on YouTube, and I especially loved that I could look something up and I would get more information than I even thought I could contain Over the years, I continued to explore the internet; from dress-up games to online arcades to blogging to social media networks, research, and my favorite: YOUTUBE. While the internet matured, so did I and now, as a college student, it’s my best friend; also pretty much essential in today’s society. One thing I can say about my journey with the internet is that I recognize our society’s increased dependency on it and it quite amazes me. When I was younger, i was told not to depend on it too much, which was understandable at that time and at my age. Now, though, it’s an essential tool for knowledge and success for pretty much everyone. Iʻve also noticed the amount of opportunity the technology industry has provided for those who are interested in web-related jobs. What I think is cool about this is that the internet is still fairly new; so a lot of website developers and social media founders are younger, therefore have a comtemporary outlook.
The internet has also established a whole new platform for people to represent themselves on. Nowadays, it can be fairly easy for a person to influence social media, even if they havenʻt really done anything special. For example: Danielle Bregoli: 13 year old girl who goes viral on twitter for her disrespecful persona on Dr. Phil’s talk show. This is where social media has a negative affect on its users, especially today’s youth.
My favorite thing to do online is listening to and finding music. Because of my interest in music production and composition, I want to listen to all types of categories and all types of different artists and songs. The internet makes these possibilities endless, especially with streaming sites like SoundCloud and Spotify, where you have “recommended” sections and explore pages showing you sound after sound. I also use Youtube to watch tutorials on producing with different music software-- And since the sources on these videos are endless, many artists have even been able to teach themselves how to produce and perform music. That’s another thing. Youtube tutorials online may not all be as professional as real life, but if you find the right ones, make up tutorials for example, you can become a pro just by watching them. There are skateboarding tutorials, singing tutorials, (probably) even yoga tutorials; the possibilities are really endless!
