CW: rape So I never paid too much attention to the donations when dealing with my license until my Big Lemon let me know about this one. It helps fund to rape kits that are sitting in backlog to finally be tested. Texas has made strides in this with getting grants and such but even still there are over 6000 still untested. Trauma is a bitch. Maybe that’s not how I’m “supposed” to talk about it, but it’s how I feel. . The jolt of being pulled back, back to the most terrified I’ve ever felt, surprising me at the drop of a hat. . And fuck, it’s heavy- the way it weighs on my heart. . The way it feels like giant hands are holding my heart and slowly crushing it. . It’s exhausting fighting this battle, but it’s made me a warrior. . And for that I’m proud, because I did that. . I’d like to not only be a warrior for myself but for others too! .
