Hello angel, I'm following you. I'm going to be a senior in high school this year and I would like to know if you any tips or advice for a good final year.
ah thank you so much for the follow! š Iām not familiar with how high school works as Iām from the UK, but if it was anything similar to my final year of Sixth Form, the year before I went to university I can help out a little! Iāll place some links down below for more high school focused posts/advice š
Stay on top of your work - my god I canāt even tell you how much I regretted not doing this when it came to exam time. I had to scramble through my notes finding what was and wasnāt relevant to the exam spec and it was stressful.Ā
Stay organised! - I wasnāt the most organised when it came to my final year, I would come across like I didnāt feel like it. I had different methods of notes for each subject (we only took 3 in our final year) and it just felt a bit āmessyā to me? If thatās how you like to work then go for it cause everyone works differently! Just make sure you stay on top of how everything is kept to reduce last minute stresses!
bujo or planners are so helpful - It took me FOREVER to find a planning system that worked for me. Throughout Sixth Form I had went through 3 planers (personal and pocket sized) and different sized bullet journals (A5 and A6) and none of them felt right. The bullet journals definitely felt better than the planners though! But now, I have a traditional sized faux midori notebook with dotted refills and it is perfect for my bullet journal, I think Iāve really found the one. I also have an A5 planner to keep on my desk which I use for monthly/yearly spreads and budget planning since Iām finally moving out but I donāt know if Iāll end up moving these to my bujo later on. Thatās the brilliant thing about bullet journals though, theyāre versatile, and they change to fit you and your schedule!Ā
Self care! - whilst good grades and working hard is great, you have to take some time for yourself. Take a day or evening off once a week where you donāt study, and just take some time out for yourself. Whatever you enjoy doing, reading, listening to music, face masks, a bubble bath, itās up to you! Just relax once in a while š
