Yesterday, Friday February 19 2021 we celebrated modernist Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, who 145 years ago was born and inspiringly left Romania for France where he became a world renowned artist. Thank you for the legacy and for your really inspiring life story.
With the occasion of his celebration day I created these 3 A4 format free to print illustrations for kids or adults to color this weekend. With our present reality of the pandemic colouring is a fun time to spend with loved ones, for bonding and sharing gossips, for relaxing while playing with crayons or markers or colored chalk.
The first illustration is based on the art ensemble located in Târgu Jiu, Gorj, Romania, consisting of The Endless Column, Table of Silence and the Gate of the Kiss. Do check the originals yourself online and next time you come to Romania visit them yourself and see them at their true scale as well as riding close by with a car to Brâncuși’s actual place of birth.
The third illustration is based on the works: La jeune fille sophistiquée, The Cock, Princess X, The Kiss, Mademoiselle Pogany, Maiastra, Bird in Space, The Beginning of the World, The Wisdom of the world. Can you find them and identify them? Finish colouring them and try your luck first before checking with google for which is which :) Enjoy, have fun, stay safe and healthy and happy weekend!
