the closure of any public school is no failure of the citizenry, rather, it is at all levels a failure of government.

instead of pointing fingers at citizens for not producing more children to fill the halls, we must point them at the systems of governance that fail to fund those halls of education properly, or provide conditions in which prospective parents can feel great optimism having children in the first place.
