so I usually don’t really share personal experiences on here but I want all your hearts to be safe so momma raquel is gonna let this all out now before going back to her studies 💪

basically I want to tell you that it’s okay to be selfish sometimes to not get your hearts broken.                                                     it’s okay to put yourself before others.           it’s fine to express your opinion and tell someone how you feel.

you can tell that boy that you’re not in love with him. even though he’s a good friend and you don’t want to break his heart. tell him. don’t start something that you already know that you don’t want to finish.                                               you can and should focus on your health - whether it’s mental or physical - first before deciding what’s best for others. life is going to be miserable, truly miserable if you don’t focus on your health first, let me tell you that.                   you can get mad and cry. you can also get sad and cry. it’s okay. let it all out. feelings are there to be let out, not bottled up.                                                 you can change your mind. make up your mind if you realize it’s not for you. as long as it’s early enough and no promises were made, hell change your mind as much as you want.

you are the only one who is allowed to decide if your studies/work are more important to you or that dickhead that keeps messing with your life.             you are the only one who has the right to decide what’s going to happen in your life and what not. you have the power - they don’t.                                       you are the only one who can stand up for yourself and say what you really want to say - from the depths of your heart.

you can do whatever YOU want to do. you can say whatever YOU want to say.

I’ve tried too many times to make the best for everyone except for me. so many times I rearranged everything for somebody else just to make them happy. but you shouldn’t forget that you need to be happy too. you deserve happiness even more than that idiot that can’t make up his mind for God’s sake. you deserve someone that takes you as you are, with temper and without it. that appreciates all your flaws and imperfections because that’s what makes you you.

don’t be a fool like me. don’t let yourself be treated like you don’t deserve anything when in reality you deserve the world and more. show the world that you’re the queen and you deserve nothing but the best.

don’t let him tell you that “you’ve disappointed” them, that you “mislead them” and that “you weren’t being honest” when all you did was being honest and fair towards them, respecting their feelings but also considering what’s best for them. don’t let them tell you that it’s all your fault. that you’re a shitty friend. don’t let them roll their eyes at you when all you’ve tried was to be considerate. don’t let them tell you how “special you are” how “you are the first one to make them this nervous” when they’re so easily thinking the worst of you. don’t let them toss you around like a piece of meat, messing with your feelings. your heart is the most precious thing, don’t let them play with it so easily. don’t let them destroy your confidence and faith in humanity. there are still good people out there. there are still good friends out there. just because he isn’t one of them, doesn’t mean the world is going to end. 

and last but not least - don’t let them fucking tell you that they’re in love with you when they do all this. don’t. protect your heart and step away from those who do this to you. step away from those who do this to you when they know how much you’re struggling in that moment with other things. step away and let them live their life while you live yours. 

you deserve better than this.

you deserve the world and nothing less.
