you know how maz says the light’s always been there for you ? what if anakin’s force ghost ( cause . you know. in the end he redeems himself and is light )  has been something of an ‘imaginary friend’ to rey, lost to the ambiguous memory of childhood -- but he taught her how to scavenge the best parts on the star destroy, how to wire her AT-AT, comforted her when she was afraid and told her about the times when he was afraid, too, on tatooine as a little boy. that desert storms die down, and that she was a person who mattered. maybe when his faded away, padme would show her how to get her hair in her favorite three buns, or that the wraps on her arms might keep her safe from the unforgiving jakku sun .

my dad just called me and said, "guess who i heard is performing on snl this saturday...?" and i want to cry because this whole month has been shitty and i don't know why, but that made me feel so much better knowing he's basically a 52 year old stormer.
