Origin: The result of an Venatori experiment to turn slaves into super soldiers and living weapons. The Tevinter Reborn program was initially funded by the Imperium to give the military an edge in the fight against the Antaam. Countless ethics violations, corruption charges, and insane facility costs eventually led to the program being shut down. Officially, at least. The Venatori simply took their work underground... Ember managed to escape. Now she's got a bone to pick with every surviving Venatori cultist out there.

Ember''s got a ninja vibe going on here - all the better to be parkouring around Minrathous.

She's armed to the teeth with her swords, knives, a bow... and her claws (plus her muscles, let's be real). And she's got the iconic Shadow Dragon red sash! The fire effects just looked cool and matched the whole "Bring the light" motto lol.

Neve Gallus - Cold Justice

Powers: Ice powers (including projectiles and shields)

Day Job: Private investigator

Origin: Powers manifested at a young age, possible exposure to chemical leak in Dock Town. It's a mystery she's still trying to solve.

White and teal color scheme for Neve, of course! A bunch of pouches on her belt for case notes. And yes, that is a gun at her hip. I also gave her a Scarlett Witch-style crown since there were no hat/veil combos lol.

Besides, I feel like Neve would opt to have something to obscure her face as a superhero vs. Ember who would be taking selfies with civilians barefaced 😂

Rion de Riva - Death's Kiss

Powers: Psychic / Fade knives, stealth, immunity to poison

Day Job: Pharmacist (...and ex-assassin. It's complicated.)

Origin: Honestly, she was probably experimenting with substances she should have not been mixing lmao

Check the grave gold necklace she wears. Hmm, who could that be from? 🤔 Is it impractical? Sure, but so is her fur-collar cape and high-heeled boots lmao she's a fashion over function girlie.

Nevember (Neve Gallus/Ember Mercar)

A slightly updated version of this ship chart I made (back before I'd even decided on "Nevember" as their ship name lmao) so you can read more in-depth yapping in that post!

Most of the updates were to their songs (many of which are pulled from their Neverook playlists!)

Neither Neve or Ember cry easily, but I'm giving "most likely to get misty eyed" to Neve in part because she's also more sentimental 🙂‍↕️ (though she'd rather die than admit that)

Ember would get rage baited by kids in an MMORPG and get addicted to the game in her quest to defeat her "nemesis"

I also gave Ember a little more grace on the "trips over feet" vs "pro dancer" slider lmao. She IS very good on her feet as a rogue. But she's also run into a wall because she got distracted (often by Neve) so... it evens out.

Ember is absolute putty in the face of Neve's smile. And gets very distracted by her extremely grabbable hips lmao. Neve is also a sucker for Ember's smile and overall...physique 💪

Neve worked incredibly hard (as in, went through multiple versions and had to pull out her old Minrathous Circle textbooks to review her notes) on enchanting that gold snake pin for Ember but she will never ever admit it. Ember can tell there's some sort of protective charm but she doesn't know what it does. It is, indeed, a very powerful and old-fashioned (one might even say romantic 😏) set of enchantments. Sap.

Ember lowkey bullied a snobby hightown craftsman to make one of these fancy magic pens (usually reserved for Altus mages) for Neve. It's enchanted to be unbreakable and will never run out of ink. Plus, a snake motif and the ability to write in both black and teal ink. Perfect for all of Neve's note-taking in the field!

Again, Ember would like it to be known her report card for Neve is graded on effort!! *coughs* the communication one, especially *coughs* Neve rolls her eyes and calls Ember a sap.

Ember docked Neve one point in humor because she thought her (objectively hilarious) pun that morning was lame. The audacity! Neve docked Ember one point in humor for the same exact pun lol.

As for the meme, Ember is usually the dumbass but ☝️ not always. We've seen the crazy shit Neve can get into when she's on a case lol. This is why they have their buddy system (although honestly, they really just enable one another 😂)

Ok yeah I guess it could be "Embrion", but I think it's funnier to have Rion's ships be Emrion and Emmrion. You KNOW she's asked "Em" to pass the salt and both Ember and Emmrich reached over for it. Awkwaaaaard 😂

Ember was NOT prepared for how hot Rion was. Lorelei just recommended she check out this apothecary in hightown for some Shadow Dragon supplies. Lorelei failed to mention the girl working there was a total babe!

Meanwhile, Rion is immediately charmed with the flirty former gladiator who keeps popping into her shop for less-than legal poisons. How curious.

As you may imagine, they had many arguments about Ember's habit of getting side tracked by (often dangerous) Shadow Dragon business. Meanwhile, Ember never understood why Rion would help her out on some jobs but not these small ones?? (They did, in fact, miss that dinner reservation Ember was so confident about lol)

Ember is a big fan of Rion's lips - especially the small scar she has there. Also her ass. She's not ashamed to say it - Rion has an objectively great ass! ("It's true, I do," Rion preens 💁‍♀️)

Meanwhile, Rion loves Ember's shoulders and arms - what? She's only human! Also, Ember's eyes. The scar is particularly dashing 🙂‍↕️

Rion gifted Ember an Antivan dagger (Ember did not realize Crow courtship implications of the gift at the time) that has special grooves for her necrotic poisons. Ember commissioned a custom leather belt (in the rogue style) for Rion's potions and poisons when she's out in the field. It is, annoyingly, easier to manage than Rion's previous field kit lol.

Thank you @dudewheresmynug for the hilarious fucking mental image of Ember blasting "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" by Meat Loaf in her car/on her motorcycle in the parking lot of the Shop after her break up with Rion 😂 Of course, everyone can hear. So when Ember trudges into the Shop after an hour of that on loop, Lorelei, Bren, and Tarquin are just like.... "You good?" 🤨

Aaaah their report cards. There's a reason (well, many reasons) that Ember and Rion didn't work out long term. They are, of course, very attracted to each other. They enjoy one another's company! They have fun! But...they don't talk about a lot of what matters. They're more of a "fuck to make up" couple which did not help their communication in the long run. Rion knows Ember will always put the Shadow Dragons first. Ember knows Rion has... other priorities and responsibilities even if she doesn't know what they are (Ember did not know Rion was a Crow spy, though once Rion dropped that bombshell, a lot of things made sense. In hindsight.)

Anyways, now they're amicable exes -- potentially even friends -- who work together on occasion. I like the idea of Companion!Rion in Ember's canon world state. Because that still opens the door for Emmrion...

Emmrion (Emmrich Volkarin/Rion de Riva)

I am still pretty new to the whole Emmrook dynamic and figuring out Rion's relationship with him, so some of this is subject to change!

First off, I do love how Emmrich really brings out Rion's nerdy toxicologist side out 😂 And truly, if Rion had not been born a de Riva, she would have enjoyed going into some sort of scientific field.

Rion has absolutely zero chill when she first meets Emmrich lol. Thank god for her Crow trained poker face.

Deciding who's more sentimental between a Mourn Watcher and an Antivan was a tough call, but I had to give it to Rion. Barely.

LOOK. Emmrich and Rion are an incredibly stylish duo. I only gave Emmrich the "worst sense of style" vote because I know he'd wear crocs because they're comfy, a dorky hat for field research because it keeps the bugs away, etc. Hell, even those mortician scrubs that the Mourn Watch wear! Rion would literally rather die 😂

They both MUCH prefer glamping and fine dining, when they have the option.

Also I like to think that Rion grows slightly more accepting over time (at least, if you compare this chart to her one with Ember).

Emmrich adores Rion's blue eyes (so expressive!) and agrees with Ember that Rion has...quite a remarkable figure ("Just say she has a great ass, Emmrich!" Ember shouts from the distance. "She'll appreciate it!")

Rion also has a thing for Emmrich's eyes (though his snatched waist was a close contender). And his hands. She can be very distracted by the man's hands...

Look at their sappy and nerdy keepsakes!! Emmrich encourages Rion's research like no one else has. She dedicates her first published work to him, and he has his signed first edition proudly displayed on his bookshelf. In true de Riva fashion, she named a few of the poisons/antidotes she created after Emmrich, too.

Emmrich's gift to Rion? A gold poison ring in the Nevarran style. It doubles as grave gold. Rion is rarely seen without it on her finger. I imagine Rion gets quite a bit of jewelry from Emmrich and she proudly shows it off.

Their report cards match much better than Ember/Rion's! Some of this is due to Rion's growth and her compatibility with Emmrich. But also, she's not feeling like she has to "compete" with Emmrich's faction for his love. That boosts her trust/loyalty score considerably, and, as a Crow, that helps build her foundation for everything else.

As for the meme, well, they're both big nerds and each other's biggest fans. Very cute.
