tim bloom and sasha coates were high school sweethearts that met in philadelphia, many moons ago. they got married young when tim enlisted in the army, but it wasn’t until their late 20s that they started having kids only to wind up with four daughters.
tim, who’s own father and grandfather had also been high ranking officers in the army, was a no nonsense kind of guy. ran a strict household. probably would have preferred sons to daughters and likely never forgave sasha for never giving him any - as if that was something she could control. the kind of dad to pat you on the back and tell you to suck it up when you were crying. only uttered the words i love you a handful of times ever, in his life. a real great dad, essentially.
their mother was everything their father wasn’t. warm, compassionate, loving. her husbands utter opposite in every sense of the word. she was a school teacher, following her husband across the country and world from military base to base, taking care of their 4 kids along the way with only ever a smile.
so when sasha died ten years ago everyones world seemed to get a little bleaker. their father didnt handle it well. he did, however, take this as a reason to move the girls back to philadeliphia, mostly so sasha’s mom, their grandmother, could take over the parenting role he’d never been able to fulfill. he did a couple more tours in iraq before retiring as a sergeant and getting a job at a local military academy.
there was always some sort of expectation that the girls would follow after their father, which i imagine at least one of them did - maybe a few others. leven did not and would keel over and die before she succumbed to that. she’s the obvious black sheep of the family, but that doesn’t mean all of the sisters need to be replicas of their father as i imagine none of them are really as harsh as him.
im gonna stop here before this gets to be 83 paragraphs long ill yell at u all on discord because im emo !! about this sisterhood plz. im thinking 4 sisters but lowkey would be cool stretching it to 5 because big sister fams are my jam. i also imagined them all as super blonde but i’d be cool with a lone brunette who super takes after their dads looks or something. idk, leven is the youngest and the rest of the ages are open as long as they dont overlap. thx !!!!
