about:// soft and gentle, no one would have expected shy juniper to have ended up working for a local news station.  orginally from seoul, south korea she moved to the US at 18 for college.  it was there where she fell in love with journalism, deciding immediately that she wanted to dedicate her life to it.  after graduating she moved to philidelphia, and didn’t waste anytime chasing after an internship at the local news station.  her confidence grew as she became more comfortable being around cameras, and by the time she was 24 she was an official on-site reporter for the station.  she loves her job dearly, and loves going to different events around the city in order to report on them.  parts of the shy, young girl she once was still remain but her confidence is growing and she’s finding herself feeling more and more unafraid to stand up for herself and her beliefs.

about://  born in and raised in hong kong for most of his childhood, his family ended up moving to philadelphia after his father died in a car accident when he was 14.  raised in a poor neighborhood life was always rough, and when he was 16 he began searching for ways in which he could help his family survive.  he ended up being taken in by a gang and has worked for them ever since, mostly doing small time jobs.  a sweet boy deep down, if a little rough around the edges he’s ashamed of having to resort to crime in order to survive.  he desperately wants to get out and leave, but is afraid that he’ll end up being killed if he does.  has a strong passion for dance and music, and would love to dance and sing professionally one day

has always been a troublemaker tbh. as a teen would burn house curtains, destroy school property, practice illegal graffiti, cut off his siblings’ shoelaces among other things just because he could. he was never really a fan of rules, he hated them but he never really knew why. he also always fought dad for the role of ~alpha of the house and butted heads with him more often than not, being hella protective of mom and punching people in his sisters’ honor even if he did annoy tf outta them. nowadays as a grown ass man and ex-navy seals....... he’s still a troublemaker tbh. but he’s a good boi at heart.

meet jasmine carpenter, or kiwi as she’s goes by around friends and online.  she’s from a lower, middle-class family, and has been in love with theater and acting since she was 10.  a philadelphia native, she is currently attending university in the city and has big dreams of pursuing a career as an actress one day.  outside of class she runs her own youtube channel where she blogs and talks about her daily life, and also making her voice heard as an activist for many global issues affecting the world.  an out and proud lesbian who’s in now rush to find love, yet also a romantic at heart.  

wanted;;  a found family of friends, all of which are fellow college students.  all of them refer to each other by fruit based nicknames.  jazz is obviously kiwi.  personalities are open, but they all have a reason for being drawn to each other.  the most likely scenario being that they all come from somewhat broken homes, but it’s open.  

while izzy is primarily the counter boy in the bakery they work in, he also occasionally helps in the back and is like... he’s this big chaotic energy that comes sweeping through and everyone is like??? this fucking boy is Too Much, but can’t really get mad at him because he’s just a giant puppy in human clothes?? and at the end of the day he gets the job done and is actually damn good at baking and making things for the bakery?? whereas claire (girl or boy, don’t matter to me) is more serious/professional? she was probably trained in an actual school somewhere, is very passionate about her job and the things she does, and is so not a chaotic energy. she’s not uptight or anything, but, y’know, she’s very much put together. 

they’re practically opposites but!!! they’re probably each other’s favorite co-workers. when faced with a problem they seek out each other to get a completely different point of view to look at their problems. but also like... when the sales floor is dead and izzy needs something to do, iz tends to wander to the back where he/she is to bug them. and when she goes home before him (she/he usually does because she gets in earlier), he ends up pouting and trying to guilt her (or him) to stay.
