When you’ve graduated and you visit band camp and the new assistant section leader, the only responsible one left, is bawling her eyes out begging you not to leave because the new section leader, your old assistant, isn’t doing their job and the section won’t take the assistant seriously and before you can contain yourself your Mom™ self comes out and you roast the section leader and maybe threat to fight them if they don’t straighten up. You know. Just Section Mom things. Ser

When it’s not marching season but you still have marching season responsibilities including getting your section to bingo but they won’t DO IT so you get yelled at by the band director but there’s nothing you can do.

Respectively, being Extra and elitism

When your assistant section leader hasn’t checked off anything not even the pre-game songs they’ve been playing for 4 years so you have to do your officer duties and wait in a line to get yourself checked off and then check everyone else in your section off and also help out new members with music when they could be helping new members or checking off to you so they could help people out who want to check off pre-game so you didn’t have to and now you’re running around like a chicken with your head cut off and they’re just standing around doing nothing for 30 m

Stress eating

Being assistant section leader and having to act like actual section leader because the actual section leader refuses to discipline so you discipline because you don’t want to get yelled at for bad behavior by the director
