Between July and August of 2015 we went on our "Is That A Peacoat?" Tour and documented the experience into this fine 100% non-hydrogenated music video for J...
We traveled out to states we've never been before, turned strangers into pals and came back with more memories that we ever would have imagined. "Is That A Peacoat?" Tour was nothing short of a success.
Here's the official music video for J.Z. , thanks to everyone who was a part of making our summer so awesome. This video wouldn't exist without you, hope ya dig.
New Single, “J.Z.”, from Staten Island’s Emergency Protocol
Our friends, Emergency Protocol (Emotional Rock) from Staten Island, NY have released a new single today, “J.Z.” This track features tight instrumentation and vocals/backing screams replete with emotion (as you’ll find common across most of Emergency Protocol’s music and as evident in the lyrics below)
“Time moves so slowly but the years pass. To build oneself upon one’s cracks is a profound ability, But what have I accomplished? So cast me to the sea It’s where I want to be, A distant memory just like your greatest dream. I’ll sink down way deep, where no one can see and then I’ll find my peace. (And can it be traced back to a boy with the world in his hands?)“ from “J.Z.” by Emergency Protocol
Engineered and Mixed by Joe Dell'Aquila at Exeter Recording Studio (Anthony Green, Good Old War, Altered Boys) and Mastered by Bill Henderson at Azimuth Mastering (Foreign Tongues, Olde Pine) the production on this track is no joke, and as professional as they come.
Lead guitarist and vocalist, Roemello Agjmurati, describes the the track as something new, “When we were writing J.Z. I think the thing we focused most on was just letting go: of planning, of structure, of everything really. We kinda sat down and said, "alright we're doing the exact opposite of everything we did on Silent Sounds. We want it to be big, loud, frantic, and weird" and just rolled with it. J.Z. mainly focuses on the levels of stress that come with doubt, and who self improvement really matters to, you, or those around you. Dom and I were both going through some times as we were both in the process of transferring colleges and changing majors, which set us both back in terms of graduation plans and we just spent a lot of time doubting ourselves so we threw all that energy into writing this song.”
You can check out the single (and all their other killer tunes) over at https://emergencyprotocol.bandcamp.com/ and you can find another awesome single, “Recognition” on the upcoming Sounds and Tones Records Compilation, Don’t Call it a Comeback 2015 on June 27th at www.soundsandtonesrecords.bandcamp.com
