What can I say about Heartless City….? EVERYONE THAT LIKES CRIME DRAMAS AND HASN’T SEEN IT SHOULD IMMEDIATELY GO AND WATCH.

I love Heartless City. I only watched it for the first time very early this year but it is honestly the best, solidly-good drama I’ve ever seen. Visually, plot-wise, character-wise, everything else-wise… just incredibly amazing.

It’s a gritty, gripping crime drama. There are strong ladies and shocking storylines. Police officers, gangsters, corruption, hostess bars… it’s got everything. The acting is great, the characters are so varied and layered and some are just so so evil... it’s magnificent. There are so many shades of grey when it comes to what they think is right or wrong.

The romance is slow burning and a side-side plot. I love a good romantic drama, but the fact that it’s so sidelined is just realistic. When you’re talking about gangsters going up against gangsters and everyone going up against the cops... is there much time for romance? Not really. That said, it’s great and I really liked the romance. AND THE FRIENDSHIP. ALL THE FRIENDSHIPS. LADIES BEING FRIENDS. MEN BEING FRIENDS. COPS AND GANGSTERS. NEW FRIENDSHIPS. OLD FRIENDSHIPS. ALLLLLL THE FRIENDSHIPS.

Badass ladies left and right. Whether it’s physical or emotional strength... just... all the ladies. Police, gangsters, reporters... the list goes on.

Lots of cool fighting. Lots of dying. Lots of fighting the way up the gangster food chain.

I generally can express how much I love a drama, but I’m having real difficulty right now.
