Failed for a second time trying to embroider words onto black fabric. Tried a washable marker first but it was barely visible and the lettering wound up looking real sloppy. This one I tried to print the quote onto paper and pinning the paper onto the fabric before securing in to the hoop. I took some of the paper off after a few words to see how it was looking. I didn’t like how the thread was all loose and clumsy looking. After ripping these out again I suddenly remembered that I might have a pencil of tailor’s chalk that might work. Throw back Thursday! And confession time. ***warning ⚠ these photos are a little squeamish*** Last year I hit a milestone with my embroidery, after 16 years I finally got too cocky and took a needle to the finger. Lesson - don't put you hand too close to a needle moving at over 800spm! Yep it hit me in the middle finger, in the middle of the nail - thankfully it missed going into the bone and grazed over it but 1cm of it broke off still in my finger.
