The Muppet Show, 2026

She pushed past me and shoved her hands into the dishwater.

“Baby, whaddaru doing?” I asked. “‘S my turn to wash the dishes.”

“Got super glue on my hands! Fuckityfuck!” She wailed. She pulled her left hand out to show me.

Sure enough two of her fingers were stuck together . And the glue had visibly hardened on her skin over her knuckles.

I couldn’t help laughing. “Whadja do that for??”

“I DIDNT do it on PURPOSE.” She glared at me. She’s so cute when she’s annoyed, though!!

“Honey, Ive told you that your crafty projects were gonna get you in a predicament someday… always glueing sparkly shit to other shit..”

“Eddie!!! Goddam Stop laughing at me and go get your nail polish remover!”

“Remover?? babe I don’t have that stuff. I just pick polish off when It peels.” Like now. I illustrate my point on my pinky nail that is still black up to the edge.

“I’m not going to pick this off my skin it might tear.” She says, “I need a solvent.” She’s cool under pressure, my gal, although it does sound like she kinda wants to kick my ass, but I can work with that energy… later.

“Wayne might have parts cleaner in his tools..” I suggest.

“Oh gawd. I look like a skeksis!” She looks at her hand and her eyes are watering like she’s gonna cry. I can’t have that, tho.

“I’ll still love you with one withered wrinkly horrific hand.” I swear. Clutching her to my chest till she relaxes into my hug and looks up at me.

“Do you have petroleum jelly?” She asks.

“Yea. Of course, darlin’.”

It takes me a while to find it and it takes even longer to slather her hand with it and even longer to get her de-glued.

Eventually the evening crafty drama is over and we are cuddled up on the couch.

“Feeling better?” I ask.

“Yeah.”

“Love me?”

“Of course I do.” She kisses my shoulder.

“Good. Cause you’re stuck with me.” I say like I’m singing.

She huffs a laugh.

“Like glue.” I add

He's a piece of art one of my partners @chubby-plushie / @that-fruit-bat made for me!!! This is my TADC OC Mishap. He's a floofy little angelic-looking creature and I'll have a cute lil ref piece for him soon!

During his time in the circus, Mishap becomes very close to and falls deeply in love with Caine. He is one of the first humans to actively show an interest in Caine's adventures and even helps him plan some, which is how their friendship starts. Of course, Mishap slowly begins to understand that there is a distinct power imbalance and that Caine does not understand what Love really is.

Mishap succumbs to abstraction directly due to a broken heart. As he feels himself slipping away, he can only smile and think of perfect days at the circus and starlit nights on the beach. As tears slip from his eyes, he only wishes he could have one more adventure. One more day. Just more time.

Luther thought the quiet house was odd.

"Alice?" He took a tentative step. "Kara?"

A shadow moved across the hallway. Could it be a burglar? Luther readied himself. Wrong house to mess with.

One step, two step, and…

"Surprise!"

Alice jumped from behind a couch. Kara turned the lights on, smiling. The room was filled with decorations.

Luther stared in awe. "I thought someone was causing a mishap around here."

"You almost caught me sneaking in the hallway, Luther!" Alice exclaimed, hugging the tall android. "Glad I didn't ruin the surprise."

"You didn't, little one," Luther smiled softly. "Thank you."
