Playing dragon age inquisition for the first time and I start out romancing Blackwall but after getting to Skyhold i start appreciating Cullen and his whole deal a lot more and decide to break it off with blackwall so i can romance Cullen
But when i go to talk to Blackwall, somehow his personal quest gets triggered and then he's just gone. Fully fled in the middle of the night leaving behind only a letter that's like 'bye forever, sorry'. And im like well thats rude but it kind of solves my problem actually, except that for some reason Cullen doesn't think that this counts as a break up
So i have to track this man down just to break up with him in a way that Cullen will accept, and i find him interrupting a hanging and learn that he's actually not blackwall at all, turns out hes a completely different guy who did a war crime and identity theft and the whole time im standing there looking up at the gallows like 'wow this is among the worst break up experiences ever my guy.'
And then he gets thrown in prison and Cullen still doesn't think that counts as a break up, so I have to pull political strings to get him out of prison and transferred to my castle for judgement. And i give him to the wardens or whatever bc the other options seem crazy and then he stands there in front of everyone!! In front of the whole hall, packed with people, while im sitting in my little inquisition thrown, and is like i still love youuu btwwww and so instead of having a chill private conversation in the barn, i had to crush his heart in front of the whole court!!! Orlesian nobles in their silly masks were literally watching and scandalized in the background of the cut scene!!!!
