How many books did you read this year?
As of right now, I have finished 27 books this year. I am hoping to finish my current book tomorrow and might even have enough to finish my next book before the end of the month, but we'll see :)
Regardless, I am really proud of how much reading I did this year. I think it is the most I have read ever!
24. Did you DNF any? If so, why?
Yes. I had a weird streak in October where I DNF'd a couple books in a row. And I DNF'd another book in Feb. First one was just written poorly. Characters were flat and boring, timeline was confusing, there were two plots that (I assume) would overlap at some point, but the jump between them was so jarring, and the exposition was non-existent.
Second one was a book I hope to get back to, it was just too dense and I want to save it for when I am done work and have more time to read.
Third one was just not my style. It was cheesy and the dialogue was awkward and it was way too fucking horny for my tastes. If it was just one of those things I think I would have been alright, but all three was just too much for me lmao.
