hello!!! I wanted to ask if you'd had any tips for pixel art that I might used when I get back home, if you could share any!!! I think you make the best pixel art of any my mutuals and I'd quite like to learn a bit :)
i.ignore the box!!!
Ok my advice for getting better is firts, try to check others, you see those little square patterns I do for gradients? Is a neat effect that I lesrn from pokémon sprites.
Second, try to think in shapes...
Will use thid as an example, firts i drew a circle , then a triangle for the torse and used the fact that i was in ibis to edit the shape... so I could get an idea on how the proporsions work.
(Tldr: draw a detail less stickman firts)
Then to color it, i used multiple circle things... that is how smoke is usually shaped, slowly adding more... and putting it infront of my art with lower opacity.
(Usually my best shading is gotten by putting many colors with different opacities)
Take advantages of the low pixels, glichs effects are easier because of how it is aswell as static, and many times nobody will care if you forget a detail since is simplify (even then errors can be easyly found)
Also since you probably want this for games, decide the space you need firts, smaller pixel art need less details do dont overbear yourself in something that may no be visible...
Also picross can be nice to learn what some use to make the pixels have form.
Finally have some videos on my progress, since i know some learn by watching... you also will see that i shamefully use the same thing for my drawings , undercut for warnings of flashing and eyes
