This song is such a downer...
This album is good, but all the songs, with the exception of “Momma” and “Roll Over Beethoven,” would work better if they were a little shorter.
While I always appreciate the rare song where Jeff Lynne gets political, I think it would be better if it were a little shorter.

Kind of a shame that ELO never really released any song this comical and tongue-in-cheek.
I'm sorry, but I've been digging some ELO a lot lately. Especially their early stuff. I'm so completely in love with this song.
