My dad, Anchorage, Alaska. Photo probably taken 1955-‘56. He was in the Air Force, stationed at Elmendorf AFB. He moonlighted as an X-ray tech at Providence Hospital. Years later, I would find myself working at the same place.

Pic1: Once on a road trip through Texas we passed an exit marked “Elmedorf.” Without pulling off I consulted the van and we unanimously concluded these facts:
1) Elmendorfians are all elves.
2) Elmendorfians all talk with a middle English accent.
3) Elmendorfians ride giant hamsters.
I attempted to upload irrefutable evidence to Elmendorf city park’s google maps photos. The evidence appears to have been taken down at some point.
