Wrote a poem for a lit mag submission about an ex-friend and it quotes one of my old-ish Tumblr posts on here (bc the line was too good to pass up lol) that they blew up at me over, and I think it's my fave poem I've ever written. Very cathartic also. I really hope it gets published bc it will also be a bit vindicating I think. The cool thing about poetry is you can succeed if you're just full of enough anguish <3

#ellyposting #I think I had a tag for writing stuff but I don't remember. whatever #it's a very new unpaid online-only publication with no deadlines and a very quick review turnaround sooo they prob have low standards haha #but STILL I'm nervous #also not that them having low standards is a bad thing omg. it's good! for me and other entry level writers etc etc #anyway publishing is scary. I TECHNICALLY have some other poems being published soon as well but I haven't heard updates on that in a while #soooo 😬 hopefully everything's going alright there. they reached out to ME to write for them so I'm sure it'll come out eventually but lol #anyway I am just. so scared of rejection. but also scared of acceptance and therefore having my poetry published online!#where people can just! look it up and see straight into my heart!! what the hell!!!! I'm excited though idk #this publication in particular publishes lots of experimental horror-adjacent stuff which is like 90% of my poems sooo fingers crossed #okay I'll stop adding tags now LMAO I've edited thsi post already like five times
