Practical Witchery: Don’t Make Gem Stone Elixers.
Here’s a post about safety. There’s a really popular practice of tossing random stones into water or alcohol to make an elixer. (It’s a hold over from alchemy that’s been getting revived.) I present a very strong argument against it and some alternatives to get the magical properties of the stone into your elixer with out worrying about poisoning yourself accidentally. Elixers
Mix juices together
And tell me its an elixer.
I’ll drink it willingly,
While imagining its powers.
Powers of healling
To oothe the aches of my heart,
Powers of inspiration
So the lines flow freely into art.
I don’t care if it’s real
Or just a fantasy story,
But mix the drinks together
And call it an elixer.
...has wild eaten bugs
Part of a well balanced diet.
Crusty little gremlin probably likes the flavor too.
