So my JLM obsession has reached a whole new level.
It all started when someone mentioned him in the comments on one of his interviews, and next thing I know, I'm binging the first season of Eli Stone until the morning⌠Now, after just 4 hours of sleep, Iâm on season two.
Pros: The show is funny and well-written. JLM is both funny and absolutely adorable. The cast is great, featuring the sleazy lawyer from Legally Blonde, George Michael, the dad from Fresh Off the Boat, and even Sigourney Weaver. I even like the occasional musical numbers; they are hilarious. And apparently, the actors actually do the singing! I also love how they wrote Eli's relationship with his brother (one of the bad guys from The Flash) and his secretary. Well, relationships are done really well too, even if sometimes they hype the drama with artificial stakes.
Cons: The fantasy part of the show has some heavy biblical implications, and religious stuff is something my stomach doesn't agree with. But I guess I can overlook it for all the pros I mentioned. Well, that and Jonny doing an American accent, which he does very well, by the way. I just love his British more, and his Scottish accent even more 𤥠yeah... I'm still holding the torch for the third Trainspotting movie in a retirement home.
If anyone has a fear of joining me in this obsession, by no means go to sflix(.)to where you can watch it in its entiretyâŚ
and don't ask me why the only screenshots are made are from shower scenes... no reason
