Plant of the Day
Wednesday 20 December 2017
This distinctive container has an arrangement of cut Corylus avellana ‘Contorta’ (contorted hazel) stems tied to a plant support usually used for herbaceous perennials. The surrounding plants are the grass-like yellow leaved Acorus gramineus 'Ogon' (slender sweet flag) and the contrasting rounded foliage of Bergenia 'Eroica' (elephant's ears) which turns red in the winter.Â
