In the draft, Alito is also saying he thinks that same-sex marriage is a “phony right” since it isn’t “deeply rooted in history” 🤬🤬 it’s terrifying knowing the other implications of this decision (if it sticks, the actual decision isn’t supposed to be released for another month or two). This isn’t just about abortion. This is about LGBTQ rights, civil rights, access to health care in general (gender affirming care, reproductive care, etc). But the sad thing is, I don’t think this is actually surprising in any way
Yep!
Roe is, in part, about a right to privacy. Which like you said includes the privacy to decide things like whether you take birth control. Whether you use HRT. Who you choose to marry (not just gay marriage, but also interracial marriage.) Who you have sex with and how you choose to do it.
anyway in other news justice alito has only existed since 1950. So he is also not rooted in history, and as such I think that he also should not have rights.
