EZAREL

Who brought the idea? You. It was very difficult for him to imagine a little creature created through the both of you, but he really wanted to see what the result would be. A little kid with pointy-ears, your eyes, or your hair… the kid would be so cute! You took advantage of a cozy night under the stars, as you both talked about your future, to bring out the idea of being parents. Ezarel seemed truly vulnerable that night, showing a clear insecurity of not being a good dad and husband enough. You reassured him by saying that if he messed up, you both would mess up together. After all, it would be the first time being parents for both of you!

If he was asked years ago about imagining himself being a father, he’d laugh a lot. But now he was truly considering it and getting information from every single dad of Eldarya to be a good father. He definitely took notes and studied the theory until the only thing left to learn was the practice.

How was the revelation done? It was thanks to Valkyon that he accidentally confessed it to everyone. The elf was seen smiling to his plate, to which Valkyon asked, “are you finally losing your mind?”

Ezarel chuckled proudly, “no, man. I’m finally becoming a father.”

It was so casual he wasn’t believed at first. Not only Valkyon heard it, but also some of the teammates that were around. It was very unbelievable at first since Ezarel was the type of person to make faces or mock kids to make them cry, or to hold his laugh whenever a kid coughed his lungs off.

How many children would you have? Three. The first one was a decision, one you both searched for. The second one was an accident, but he took a liking to this profession of being a father. And the third… well, he requested it himself. Those were two guys and a girl, each one with three years of difference between them. He suggested unserious names to all of them so it was you who decided the names at the end.

Taking care of his babies… with the first baby, Ezarel was truly shy, almost babyphobic. He feared touching them and hurting them by accident. Tthe first time he changed the diaper he almost threw up so that’s definitely your task. He can make them burp, he can dress them, play with them… but he is not seeing or smelling that monstrosity. 

Once, his first son peed on Ezarel’s lap as they were playing and since that time, Ezarel became much more careful with playing with them… he can identify the focused expression babies do when they’re making their needs. 

Plays a lot with them, and will accidentally make them cry from any “magic” trick. He quickly holds the baby and shushes him, kissing their head gently, “hey hey, I’m not trying to give you any trauma here…” he mutters, more stressed himself than what the actual situation is.

Taking care of his infants… He is a very fun dad and definitely plays a lot of roleplay games with his kids in the street. Ezarel’s childishness definitely match the mindset of your kids. Yet he also makes sure to educate them with proper manners. It’s always good to make jokes, play around but respectfully! Always lets them win whenever they are playing hide-and-seek or any other game.

Taking care of his teens… this period is difficult, very difficult. But Ezarel makes it easier to deal with it. Ezarel knew that he needed to set boundaries and help his children to face what the adulthood would be like, since no one is prepared to suddenly be responsible for everything in their lives. It’s a phase of change and lots of revoluted hormones, which means that there will be some arguments sporadically. And more, among your children. Ezarel would be frustrated for things going that way, but he is aware that it will change later. 

Arguments can happen with his children or among them, but Ezarel is aware of that being a part of growing up. He uses his humor to break the ice, but it sometimes goes wrong, seeming like he is mocking his teens. Damn, he doesn’t want them to be depressed because of a joke he made. He gives them space to think and calm down before going to have a deep conversation with them, always aiming to understand their side. Teens tend to not feel understood, so whenever his kids say "You don't understand it!" he always says, “Probably, but what if you were so nice to explain it to me? I cannot help you if I don’t know what the problem is.”

He makes sure his teens know that their words always do matter.

Ezarel is imperfect so he might not have much patience sometimes, also snapping back. But he doesn’t take too long before going to invite the dialogue to fix things.

He wants to be a present father, one that is helpful and reliable. He’ll be a good listener to his children, and a good advisor as well. One of the things he is most proud of is to see them grow and take their paths. He knows that once they are adults, he cannot do much other than giving them advice and support, but won’t interfere in whatever they wanna do. Ezarel wants them to be free to pick, to experience and check the things they like and what not. Sometimes people need to get an impacting consequence for them to know what’s good or not.

NEVRA 

Who brought the idea? You both watched the kids play around in the garden, the sunset making the sky beautifully calming over you. You were resting your head over his shoulder as you enjoyed of the breeze, the joyful laughs of children making you smile warmly. Nevra was quiet as well, enjoying of the whole moment. Then you started by asking, “would you like to be dad someday?”

Nevra considered it. No one is prepared to be a father when it’s your first time, and he feared being a bad father due to his experience with his own parents. But just as he takes his job seriously, he might take the role of a father very serious. He wants to be the father he never had, a father who can raise a happy and free kid. Nevra answered to you that yes, he’d like to be a father one day, even if the idea made him scared. He knows exactly what to not do, and he wants to give your kid everything he didn’t have. Their happiness would be his happiness as well.

How was the revelation done? He organized a dinner with your closest friends. He waited for the dessert time to finally say it, before revealing that the dessert would be a cake you specifically chose for that night. You both stood up in front of everyone and said that you were going to have a kid, which was received with lots of claps and happiness, also tears from Karenn and congratulations to everyone. It was a lovely night.

How many children would you have? One, and it’s enough for him. It was a guy which he treated like a prince. The name would be picked between you both, and the help and opinion from Karenn.

Taking care of his baby… Completely obsessed! How can this tiny creature be so adorable? His heart melts whenever the baby makes any cute sound, making him smile and gently squeeze the baby’s cheeks. He loves carrying them and cleaning them. Sure, changing the diaper is disgusting, and a mess at first, but he can hold the disgust for a while until the baby is completely clean. Definitely auntie Karenn is there to help whenever any of you need a hand.

Taking care of his infant… he is good with kids in general, so his son is definitely lucky. He is attentive to them, always teaching him to say “thank you”, to apologize for bad stuff and good manners! He doesn’t know how to play with them, but he tries. He is like an open book of emotions with his son, always there and showing him his affection.

Taking care of his teen… Well here… Nevra suffered quite a lot during this phase. He was scared of his son rejecting him all of a sudden, or ruining his relationship with his son. Nevra learnt to communicate with patience and delicacy towards him, always being a support for him and helping him out with stuff. During the first argument, he acted worse than he prepared himself to, yet he was quick to get quiet and go for a walk to think about it. He didn't want to stress his son out and less you. No one is born knowing how to be a father, and it was his first time dealing with his son arguing with him.

At night, he talked to you, asking for suggestions about how to make up after that argument. And you both reached the conclusion that having a nice day in family could solve it. Firstly, a good breakfast together, Nevra could apologize to his son during it and spend that day doing activities together. Nevra always made sure that the three of you could be as happy as possible!

VALKYON

Who brought the idea? He once brought the subject to you, being straight to the point about having kids at some point of your lives. You told him that you were scared of having kids, yet he reassured you. Valkyon loves kids. The pregnancy wasn’t really planned, but it was a great surprise for both of you. His paternal instinct always appeared with kids around him, and definitely has gotten baby fever more than once. So when he finally sees his children, he becomes absolutely happy. He even cries from happiness, hugging you and expressing verbally how happy you make him.

How was the revelation done? He didn’t really know how to do it, so lend you the responsibility for it. You organized a meeting with your closest friends, and you were the one confessing it. Everyone expected it at some point! All children loved Valkyon and treated him as a father, reason why Valkyon confessed his desire to be a father at some point of his life.

How many children would you have? Just twins!  The moment you both knew that you’d bring a couple of identical creatures to the world, you both were more than satisfied with it. It’d be chaotic to raise two at the same time, and to difference them… Valkyon holds them with a blanket, looking at them with the greatest smile ever, you’ve never seen him so relaxed, so calm. Taking the role of father is something he had dreamt at least once in his life. The two girls were so cute and tiny on his arms! You’ll pick one name for one of the girls, and he’d pick the name for the other.

Taking care of his babies… Valkyon loves teaching them about the world they were recently introduced to. He plays with them, sings to them any kid songs in dragon language from his childhood and definitely spends most of his time with them and you. Valkyon has no problem in changing their diaper. Of course, it is disgusting, but he can take that. Patience is the word that describes him perfectly. Whenever both girls start crying in the middle of the night, he stands up and goes to comfort them, sometimes falling asleep with them on his arms or lap.

Taking care of his infants… He tells them fictional tales every night, takes part of their games and spoils them a tiny bit (a lot). He allows them to climb him as if he was a tree, as he is pretty tall in comparison to them. He might chuckle at the adorable acts of your girls, staying still and hugging them once they both reach his torso.

Valkyon might be a very soft and peaceful dad, but whenever he sets boundaries, he is firm with them. He might be pretty strict with the sleeping time, making sure they sleep proper hours. And also taking care of their meals so they are constantly eating proper food and not sweets.

He also teaches them to be curious and connect with nature, learning about plants, food, culture…

Taking care of his teens… Valkyon is patient but firm, never letting his girls go into dangerous places alone. He has made himself very trustful between his girls, which will allow you all to have deep conversations and not feel judged by any of you. Valkyon is always there to be a quiet support, since he isn’t very good with words, but he won’t hesitate in acting if someone hurts your girls (and you, of course). He is protective of his family. He will gladly teach them how to protect themselves whenever they are in danger.

It’s a phase in which Valkyon realizes that you both are starting to be less influential in the path your little girls take. You both are a guide for them, but once they both become adults, they might fly like free birds. And Valkyon, no matter how protective he is, he cannot cut their wings. He will support them and always be there to advise them, to help them out of the bad moments.

Arguments weren’t regular at all, but whenever they happened, they were mainly quiet. Whenever the discussion reached a point in which any of you disagreed, the silence appeared and everyone took their time to calm down. Valkyon sets peace in chaos, and he has no fear in being honest with his girls, sometimes a little bit rough. But he wants them to be prepared to face everything life has to offer. He never lets the conversation be forgotten because he knows it is important for parents to care about their children's worries. 

LEIFTAN

Who brought the idea? You both were sitting on the hanging chair on his room, his arms around your waist as you sat comfortably on his lap. He was reading a book which, honestly, you had no idea in which language it was written. He started talking about how cute would it be to have a happy family, to raise a child and teach them how to appreciate the beautiful things in life. You chuckled, looking up at him, “have you ever considered how would our children look?” And Leiftan got slightly flustered, nodding and connecting his eyes with yours.

“Yes, many times,” he’d mumble timidly. Your answer was a simple “me too,” that left him thinking. Even anxious about the chance of creating a family with you. He was excited about the idea but terribly scared of not being prepared enough to take care of another living being. His own care for others’ well-being was already a way of fathering, so he had to take care of his kid just as he took care of you and others, but maybe… with more responsibility for.

How was the revelation done? It was confessed with a lot of pauses, nervousness and even tears. It was expected at some point, since you both were very parent-coded. Leiftan was very loving with kids and whenever you joined him, people thought that you were the parents of any random kid.

How many children would you have? Just one, but it was more than enough for him. Leiftan takes care of the minimum detail and lives for his family (you and the little girl you had). He lets you pick her name, even though he’d prefer if that name had a meaning behind.

Taking care of his baby… Leiftan is the typical dad who sleeps besides the cradle, being very attentive with your girl’s needs. He gets very anxious at first, when he doesn’t know what the baby needs, but he learns fast how to recognize the baby’s cries. And whenever he accidentally makes the baby cry, he starts apologizing and trying to comfort them. “Oh no, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it, dear… are you ok? Please do not cry, my love, don’t cry…”

Nevertheless, Leiftan takes responsibility for everything needed. He is the typical dad to show his baby everything “look! That’s a butterfly. Isn’t it pretty?” as he talks with the softest voice ever. He is such a cutie with his girl.

The moment he heard your little girl say her first words… you both ended up crying together, very happy and cutesy!

Taking care of his infant… He loves to teach his little kid how to read, how to create flower crowns and do other handmade crafts, so your girl can be creative and never get bored! Leiftan gets creative in the kitchen and makes  you both meals with special shapes. 

Leiftan as a dad worries a lot about his little girl, and gets very anxious when she’s far for too long. What if she gets hurt or sick?

He also teaches her a lot about culture, literature and to be curious about the things around her, but always taking care of the dangers.

Taking care of his teen… The biggest challenge. He gets confused with the emotional changes in your girl and never forces anything. Leiftan gets quiet and emotional whenever his girl is mad because of the minimum stuff, and writes tiny letters to her when words aren’t enough: “I’m here if you need to talk. We both know that I am clumsy with words, but I love you more than anything else. Your parents will always be here for you, my sweet.”

Leiftan makes sure that his girl feels loved by you both. And he also makes sure you’re happy and doing fine, not wanting this phase to affect you so much. It’s unavoidable that you three end up hurt after a discussion, but it won’t last too long. In fact, you three would be together the next day, sitting in the garden as each one of you is reading a book in silence. And those times are the ones that you and Leiftan seek for so deeply. It is lovely.

you rolled your eyes, but sat there too, as far as you could from him. you had assumed now that you were part of the eel’s guard, but since the first time you had talked, he didn’t seem to have move on over the fact that you were –mostly– human. you didn’t want to spend time on him, and he seemed to do the same with you.

you liked that place. each day, if you could, you went there, and watched the sky, the clouds, the leaves… the seasons passed, and it was usual for you to rest there, somehow finding ezarel’s presence comforting, it didn’t feel right when he was again. then, the spring came.

you were approaching your favourite spot of the HQ, when you saw a bee perched on the blue haired’s hand.

“ezarel, careful!” you said, before scaring away the bee. he opened his eyes, startled. when he saw what you were warning him of, he looked at you angrily. “why would you do that??? that little bee has done nothing you, it’s you that resting on it’s home. look.” he pulled your hand, you falling next to him, which made him laugh. “see? there’s a panal. goodness, bees don’t even sting.” you were a bit embarrassed, so you didn’t talk anymore, you just looked at the bees.

and that was a little step. instead of resting away from each other, you sat next to him, and if he was nice enough, he let you rest your head on his shoulder. sometimes, you two even had lunch together under the tree.

a pink leaf fell on his nose, and you decided to draw him while he slept. how could you explain… you learned about him with his reactions, and his facial expressions since you didn’t really talk a lot.

“ezarel, why do you like bees so much?” you asked when he was finally awake, of course you had hidden your drawing.

“i love honey. it is my favourite thing in existence, and it’s them who make it. it’s the least i could do, watch them.” you had noticed about his passion for honey, and it was actually kind of logical.

“before you told me, i didn’t even notice about them. i looked like an idiot that time, didn’t i?” he chuckled.

“you always do. but don’t worry, you know now. it’s important to notice such things. we don’t care of what we don’t love. and we don’t love what we don’t know. for me, it’s hard for me to care about many things… but i shouldn’t let myself forget that i do.” he said. it was the first time he had talked like that. you looked at him, impressed. “well… i have to go now. the world needs the best member of the eel’s guard! see you tomorrow. and… you know, take care.”

EZAREL 

It’s pretty complicated. At the beginning he is saying no, but instantly. The moment you say the word “kids” he immediately says “no”. Ezarel wonders what good would it make to have a mini-him go around and make chaos just as he does…

Deep down, it isn’t just that. He is also scared of losing the track of his life, not being a good father and… well, it’s a whole living being you both gotta take care of. It seems such a responsibility for him.

But even if he says no, the idea keeps spinning around his mind whenever he’s got nothing to do. Now, he keeps looking at families, how couples can still be happy even with a creature on their arms crying and screaming for food. And he imagines you and him as that couple, growing a kid together.

Whenever you speak about having kids again, he just listens to you this time. He listens to your opinions, your excited comments about having a family together. 

If you ask him, he is gonna say no. But this time is softer, not as rough or sarcastic as the beginning.

Nonetheless, you will catch him reading books about how to be a good father and whatever he can find on the library that helps him with that.

And once he’d be completely disconnected from reality, thinking about life choices, and he’d murmur “but I don’t think the HQs are safe enough for our kids…”

That surprised you. He said our kids. OUR kids.

You talked to him about it, excited, and all he did was sigh and nod. Ezarel was slowly changing his mind, even if he is still terrified as hell of being a bad father.

NEVRA

At first, he is a little bit surprised. But then, it makes him smile whenever you mention having kids with him - his eyes soften a little and he just listens to you. 

He doesn’t the reject the idea, but doesn’t accept it yet. He simply thinks about it, not rushing the idea so you both can enjoy of your youth before creating a living being.

He doesn’t overthink it either. Isn’t it the point of having a partner to create a family? There might be couples which are not interested, and it’s completely understandable. But in his case, he wants to have kids.

Nevra stares at you when kids are around you and genuinely imagines you both being parents. He might join to play with those kids so you can share a little experience of how would it be.

Whenever the conversation comes up again, he slowly starts to open up and participate on it. He’d do it by making questions about their names, how would you educate them and several things that got you both sharing a lovely and nice moment together!

He may point at some random families every now and then, whenever you both are out for a walk, and say “those two will be us.”

VALKYON

He craves for it, he wants to create a family with you. But obviously, it is a serious subject to think about. He might be the one coming out with that conversation, but not as deep as you did.

Valkyon openly accepts the idea, and by holding your hand says “still, there is no rush. We gotta prepare ourselves for it.”

He wants to have kids because he is attracted to the idea of protecting, taking care of and creating something long-lasting with you. Not only your relationship, but a whole genealogical tree.

It is simply his ideal way of life.

But he is also scared of not meeting the expectations. There are many risks on life that he doesn’t know how much will he be able to protect your kids, but he will do his best at it.

Every now and then he asks you “do you think it is the time?”

He is innerly excited to have kids and see a creature, or a couple of creatures, running around and having fun as you both check on them with a lovely smile on your faces. 

Just by imaginning that, he’d smile and kiss your forehead with no context, making you wonder what the hell just happened.

LEIFTAN

The moment you mention having kids, he doesn’t have any bad reaction. Actually, his answer is calm and soft, “it’s a precious idea… I also had it several times.”

Talking about it is what actually creates his doubts.

Of course, he wants to have that style of life: a home, calm and a stable family with you. He also has a great empathy that might help when teaching your kids, solving problems and dealing with their rude periods.

But he is scared of not deserving such a happiness, of his own nature affecting your kids somehow.

After doubting this much, he can get a little bit reserved about the subject. He doesn’t reject it but avoids getting deep into it, saying such things like “there are too many things that could go wrong though…”

What he needs isn’t time, it’s that you understand his view. If you reassure him by telling him constantly that he is going to be a good father and he is changing from his past mistakes, he might open up again about that subject.

When he overcomes that era of self-doubts, he might openly accept the idea with a smile on his face. It is a very emotional and conscious decision, truly important. But he wants to take that step with you.

LANCE

A big no.

He frowns from the confusion and fear. Lance is shocked by the idea, and not because it is the first time someone offers him that, but because he simply cannot imagine giving his kid a happy life.

He might answer “children?? I don’t know if I’m the correct person to be a father,” so yeah. His first reaction comes from insecurity: the fear of not being enough. What if your kids think badly of him once they find out all the crazy shit he did? It’d make sense but… he’d like a happy family, without secrets. But his past… it still haunts him. 

The idea doesn’t disgust him, it just scares him. And it would take him a big while to take this fear off.

So everytime you start talking about it, he tries to avoid the subject, because it makes him real anxious.

He might talk with some creatures in the HQs that are parents so he can have an experienced view on the subject. And he might consider it then...

MATHIEU

Somehow, he firstly reacts excited. No jokes, the fact that you want to have KIDS with him makes him so happy. 

“Yes, yes, of course yes, dear!” he exclaims as he holds both of your hands. Then reality hits him and he becomes aware that it is a great amount of responsibility. Of course he thinks of this towards the future, there’s lot of youth to enjoy yet!

He loves the idea, and cannot help but imagine all the new experiences that will come along with creating a new family.

Mathieu talks more about the subject than you do. He likes to think about names for your kids together, about the rules you’ll set towards the kid, about some situations to think how you’d both act if it happened.

He fights to have a good relationship with you so it can be a good influence for them in the future.

Whenever there are kids around, he likes to play the role of a father to check how he’d be as one. And he’s surprisingly confident and excited for it.

Ezarel

Something is different with you, but he doesn't know how to identify exactly what it is. So he stares. He stares until you're slightly uncomfortable.

“What is it, Ez..?” You ask awkwardly as you see him scanning your appearance constantly.

“Is it usual for humans to suddenly lose hair?” He raises an eyebrow. You doubt whether to laugh or face-palm. Meh... what about both?

The moment you said that you cut your hair, he'd react normally, as if it happened every day. And then proceeds to play with your hair.

He probably won't say anything about it out loud, but if he disliked it, he'd say it directly to your face. Which he didn't! So that's a good sign. In fact, he developed this habit of playing with the tips of your strands, curling your strands around his finger. This made you believe he liked it even if he didn't say it.

He loves it, my dear. He absolutely does. And he might stare at you from far away with a normal expression, but he is currently generating lots of compliments for you.

Luckily you don't read minds.

He sometimes plays with your hair by slapping it just to see it move. Of course, always being careful to not hitting you!

Nevra

Oh. My. GODD. 

If you want it to be a secret or to be discreet about it, spoiler: you can't. The moment he sees you appear with that new haircut he's gonna gasp loudly and approach you quickly.

He places his hands on your shoulders and looks at the beauty you hold on yourself. A great smile appears on his face, “you didn't tell me about this! You look great, hun,” he honestly speaks.

Plants a kiss on your forehead and lets you walk away. 

Then he might comment to his closest mates that you've gotten your haircut, and you look absolutely adorable. Makes sense why are YOU his partner.

And during the first week he'll randomly compliment your appearance by reminding you that you are very cute.

Kisses your hair occasionally, probably when you're focused on something or about to sleep.

Valkyon

When you first approached him to rant about a future mission, he clearly noticed. He is very observant but quiet about it.

His eyes fell to your hair sporadically, but casually, as he always does. Valkyon takes his time to admire your features whenever you're close to him. To memorize them. To think about them at some other moment he needs to think about you.

You were slightly disappointed at him not saying anything about it. But the moment your conversation reaches an end, he grabs a strand of your hair and says “your hair looks good like this, by the way.”

You left the room like :3.

And you can’t feel it, but his heartbeats are faster than usual. His heart needs to get used to that new view of you, which he has surprisingly fallen in love with.

Valkyon doesn’t fill you up with compliments like Nevra would do, but he'd randomly spit a few compliments in those moments where you are alone.

He’d never thought he’d like the idea of you with short hair so much, since he was used to seeing it longer. But he learnt that whatever the physical change is, you only surprise him by being prettier than before.

Leiftan

Probably the one who cuts… kidding, but he’s more than glad to do it if you trust him enough.

He got completely flustered when he saw your new haircut, looking at you in awe as if you were a mythological creature. He reaches to cup your chin gently, moving your head to see the angles of your hair. “I never thought you could be more perfect… but now... Wow.”

He’s a simp, not a surprise.

Helps you to style it if you’ve got no idea for it! Also offers himself to wash your hair because he loves to see the change of length, and to see how short it is when he clears your hair! It is so cute.

Leiftan will recommend you some products from Eldarya to make your hair more fluffy, which will make it very soft to touch and even cuter. 

EZAREL

You were in the dining hall after one of your quests having dinner with your boyfriend and your colleagues. There were people you didn’t know, but you knew that thanks to them the guards were complete and it all felt like a warm family.

Ezarel was talking with his friends, as always, being the clown of the room. You knew he had a great casual humor, not even trying hard to steal some giggles from the ones around him. You were focused on your plate, quite zoning out as you enjoyed the first meal of the day after a tiring mission.

You heard an annoying voice which tried to speak over the rest, probably to call everyone’s attention. You searched for the owner of that voice and found a girl, a kitsune you’ve never seen before and you wish you didn’t. She didn’t even care about your presence, her big, pink and shiny eyes were only focused on Ezarel as if he was the only one in the room.

She laughed at everything he said, her laugh similar to those typical noises that broke the peace when you had migraines. The way she rested her chin over his hand in an interested way, the way her eyes had been gazing at your boyfriend with clear intentions… everything about her was making your blood boil right now.

You were impatiently drumming your fingers over the surface of the table, your patience reaching near the end thanks to the presence of that girl. Ezarel noticed, his hand resting on your knee in a reassuring way to communicate that he noticed the intentions of the girl.

“Ohh, Ezarel! I am sure you make every woman in the room fall for you.” She winked at him, and you could simply wonder if this girl was stupid or her brain was kept inside her mom’s tummy when she was born.

Ezarel looked at you with a smirk after the girl said that. He then noticed that you seemed to hold back the urges of grabbing a knife and stabbing that girl to have a quiet and peaceful dinner. And trust me, he would’ve preferred if you did it.

His arm rested over your shoulders, pulling you close to him and saying with a confident tone: “Well, the only one I want to make fall for me has already fallen for me.” And you’d feel a couple of kisses on your head. You looked up and saw the disappointment on her face, seeing how her flirty smile turned into a forced and awkward one.

You smiled this time, trying to seem sweet and kind with your smile but unconsciously being proud of what Ezarel did.

Ezarel isn’t the type of guy that you’d have a problem with jealousy, as the minimum moment he sees someone being flirty with him, he quickly gets clingy with you so they can get off. It’s an act he does for yourself but also for himself. He adores seeing the disappointment in their eyes as well.

But everyone deserves to know that his heart has an owner.

NEVRA

One of the things that made you quite insecure when you started your relationship with Nevra was due to the past one night flings he's had before. You trusted him enough to know that his heart was devoted to you, but there was something about seeing him interacting with some of them that made you feel a knot tighten in your stomach.

Nevra seemed happy to see them, and not only that but they seemed to not acknowledge what personal space was, because their hand was constantly on Nevra’s arm and back. He had his arms crossed and found himself pretty straight, looking away from that person.

But still… Nevra did nothing to stop them! You glanced at them constantly, but Nevra was still allowing that touch.

Do not mistake him though. Nevra is allowing that contact because he is deeply wishing that you interrupt the scene with that person to mark your territory. He doesn’t wish to make you jealous, but he wants you to be possessive whenever someone is trying something.

If he sees that you do not interrupt, he’d make an excuse to leave. He knew you had seen it, but why didn’t you go for it? He’d approach back to you, saying “I thought you’d bark at them as you should…” he pouted, embracing you by the waist. Nevra would tease you for being jealous though, but he’d stop it to reassure you that he was allowing it to see if you acted. After it, he wouldn’t let anyone get too close, because he wasn’t even comfortable with it.

If you interrupt, his heart would be doing backflips from the excitement. For him, the hottest thing to see is you being possessive or mad, asserting dominance in the situation. Nevra would be smiling proudly, nodding his head as he agrees with every word coming out from your mouth.

He will reward you for making you go through that moment, not wanting to hurt your feelings over a joke. Nevra isn’t serious about it and doesn’t even think about those people anymore. You are his one and only, and he will make sure to reassure you if he finds out that the little joke made you feel insecure.

VALKYON

He is good at reading others’ intentions and is more protective over your relationship than you’d expect. The moment someone tries to flirt with him, his honest reaction is to ignore or to say “yeah, my partner must be waiting for me, bye.”

So you’d never have a reason to be jealous. He is attractive, he knows it and also knows how needy for affection people are.

You’d actually feel jealous of overhearing some creatures talking about how hot Valkyon is. You couldn’t agree more. The moment they started talking about asking him to go on a date, or to probably have a night stand as Valkyon used to have long ago, you felt a burning sensation on your chest. They were disrespecting Valkyon and you, and they still didn’t care.

You didn’t realize the big sigh you released, making Valkyon, who was waiting with you for the next meeting to start, know that something was going on through your mind. He didn’t pay attention to the voices you were clearly listening to all the time, so he didn’t know why you seemed so upset.

“What’s wrong?” He’d ask you in a casual way, looking at you with attentive and worried eyes. You knew that your feeling wasn’t his fault, so you spoke calmly to him “once again you are making people drool over you.”

Valkyon would find it amusing, not that they were simping for him, but your reaction was endearing. He’d caress your hair and say “stop listening to them, it is making you moody for no reason.”

And he’s right. Valkyon never doubts when it comes to rejecting someone, so you are truly his one and only in mind.

He’d kiss your shoulder in reassurance in case you’d be too upset of hearing them. And whenever he hears someone drooling for him, he’d also get clingy to make sure they know he is almost married.

LEIFTAN

He is completely different from Valkyon. He doesn’t know how to read the environment, he doesn’t know when a person is coming to him with flirty intentions and he doesn’t even know he is attractive enough to be flirted at ! !

You have to be his protective dog because this man would be awkward around flirty people, but wouldn’t know that they are currently flirting with him.

Leiftan was crossing his arms, laughing awkwardly as a mermaid complimented him for his last mission success. Leiftan is kind, sweet and he is good with words, so he had dealt with many people ranting to him about their problems just for advice.

He was waiting the whole time for the mermaid to explain a current serious problem but she was actually just over-complimenting him. He’d look around, looking for you. You’d see the fear in his eyes, like a puppy searching for its owner’s comfort. 

Leiftan would never go along with the play to make you jealous or upset on purpose, he’d never be the actual reason for you to get mad. He’d be begging you with his glance to come and interrupt the moment.

So you’d have to act and get close, giving him a nice kiss as a greeting. The mermaid surely looked awkward, but that ceased her from keeping with those compliments.

Leiftan would express his gratitude openly once she is gone.

LANCE

You didn’t know why Lance had to be so kind. He was very devoted to the guard, but he was sometimes taken advantage of his generosity to do extra work. And hard work is paid with more work. 

You didn’t really understand why one of the girls in his guard had to ask him for help to reach something from a tree. Lance didn’t even think of his actions and he acted pretty casually, after all, he had no other intentions than to help that short creature just to reach something from the tree.

Seeing how the strong hands of Lance wrapped around her waist and raised her gently for her to grab something from the tree made you tense up. And not only that, but also seeing how she seemed to blush and get giggly from his touch.

Lance was probably too oblivious to see that the girl was doing that to get touched by him. And your theory got stronger when it seemed that she didn’t find what she was searching over the tree. What a coincidence! When Lance asked what it was, she simply said it was nothing and put a shitty excuse you’d obviously identified as a lie.

The way your eyes narrowed in an intense and sharp way made him shiver when he started to approach you. Lance doesn’t know why you are so upset, so he simply goes and asks “bad day?”

“No, no. Great.” You said in a sarcastic way. He raised a brow, confused. He indeed got it that something was pissing you off, that’s why he placed both of his hands on your shoulders. “What’s up, dear?” And when you explained to him what just happened he felt immediately guilty of not getting the intentions of that girl before.

He immediately apologized and hugged you. Lance feels bad by the fact that he didn’t realize earlier what the intentions of that girl were. But from now on he’d make sure that helping someone doesn’t involve them taking advantage of Lance.

MATHIEU

Similar to Ezarel, he finds it easy to make everyone laugh in the room and he has found many people following his little games in the guard. Others might not like him very much, but he doesn’t really care.

What he didn’t expect is for him to get surrounded by a group of brownies as he explained some funny stories of him in the human world. It was indeed funny, but not too much when those girls were clinging onto his arms.

Mathieu honestly panicked, and instead of staying still, he got overwhelmed and probably did a rough T pose to get free from those brownies. “Haha, ladies, please… I would like to go…”

He knows you are watching that and he almost cries at your upset face and the fact that the brownies are like pigeons to the bread. And he is the bread.

Mathieu doesn’t enjoy any deep attention that isn’t yours. Yours is the best attention, others’ feel overwhelming.

You were staring at them, hoping they soon realized that Mathieu was uncomfortable. Yet they were annoyingly breaking the personal space, so you had to clear your throat to call their attention. “May I steal my boyfriend?” And you saw how they immediately went away.

Mathieu tells you that you are amazing and his savior. He has a golden retriever behavior, and even if he doesn’t want those situations to happen, he unluckily calls weird people's attention. So yes, you would have to interrupt the moment to kidnap a finally happy Mathieu.

He’d reward you with cuddles and some snacks so he can earn a smile from you. Mathieu doesn’t want you to be insecure because you are the perfect one for him, he doesn’t want anyone else. But in case you get insecure, you will have him giving you all the love he is capable of giving.

He’d still think that it is very attractive how you interrupt the people to save him from there.

EZAREL

Very dramatic during the process of waking up. The moment the clock starts doing its usual ringing, he will cry out and whine a lot until he decides to reluctantly stand up and turn off the clock in a moody way. Then he quickly goes to bed and snuggles in the warmth of his spot, whining about how he hates to work and how he’d love to keep sleeping. And even if he’s an elf and doesn’t really need to sleep, sleeping gives him 50% strength for the day. The other 50% will be during breakfast.

He wakes up at 06:00 AM, since the life in the guard requires time. Yet he always stays up, under the covers, until the clock marks it is 06:15.

06:15 AM. He calmly changes to his normal clothes, looking at some random spot of the room with his mind in blank. To wear all the shit he constantly wears over, he needs time, and patience. Ezarel doesn’t like morning showers, he prefers noon showers right after his switch is done, so he makes sure to do a dry cleaning in the morning so he can still smell good.

06:30 AM. He enters the bathroom to do his needs, wash his face and brush his teeth. He always stares at the nowhere during the morning, preferring to keep his mind resting until it is the time to use it. He doesn’t want to effortlessly tire himself by thinking of other stuff when work will tire him enough.

06:35 AM. Ezarel starts combing his hair to do his typical lazy ponytail and then goes back to his bedroom.

06:37 AM. He sits on the bed and waits until it’s 40 so he can get motivation to keep going.

06:40 AM. Alright, now he stands up and checks that he has gotten everything on himself to go to work. He then leaves towards the pantry. That is ALWAYS his first spot to fill his stomach because he cannot work without sugar early in the morning, he needs a motivation to do his job and that is… honey.

Ah, right, he NEVER makes his bed. Like, never. Unless he is doing a deep room cleaning, and he changes the sheets, but from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to sleep, his covers are still opened, offering him a nice spot to lie down. Why? Simply: He will undo the bed at night, when he goes to sleep again. So why would he do that effort?

From 06:50–07:10 AM he is having the best breakfast ever (in his opinion).

At 07:15 AM he is entering the Alchemy lab and checking the to-do list for the day. Then he starts working. 

Until 09:45 AM he is deeply focused on his work. Not even if there’s less work than other times, he finds the way to make himself busy with science. There are always things to do and investigate, and he enjoys it.

At 10:00 AM he takes a break to go to the pantry and have his second breakfast. It is very needed. He takes advantage of that hour to talk and play around with others, and after 10 minutes of break, he goes back to work. There are busier days in which he has to eat as he works since he is too busy, but whenever he is allowed to escape the lab, he does.

Then he goes back to work until 1 PM.

During free days he doesn’t set any alarm. Hah, to be that crazy. He sleeps until his body can’t sleep more and normally wakes up at 10:30/11:00 AM. Then he calmly does the morning routine but without going to work! Simply chilling around.

 NEVRA

When he was leader of the shadow guard, he wasn’t in a rush to wake up in labor days as his job is usually during the night, yet he had responsibilities, and he liked to keep his day free from worries. But now that he isn’t, he forces himself to get used to have a morning productivity focus, since the light guard requires full day attention. His routine over the years hasn't changed too much though, always taking care of himself to the maximum.

He naturally wakes up earlier than the clock alarm sounds, and from there, he starts his day.

His alarm is set at 06:00 AM, yet he normally wakes up 10 minutes earlier. And from there, he goes straight to the bathroom to brush his teeth and take an awakening morning shower. During the shower he makes sure to follow his strict hair and skincare routine, not allowing any of it to be in any bad state. That’s unacceptable.

06:28 AM. He comes out from the shower and dries himself completely. He gets dressed and adds the skincare products on his skin. It gives him so much satisfaction to feel his skin soft, he even admires how it shines from the products. He combs his hair and dries it.

06:35 AM. He is ready. Yet he stares at himself in the mirror and frowns. Then starts fighting with his hair to make it stay in place, giving up at some point when it is good enough, or he is frustrated already.

06:45 AM. He puts his favorite perfume on the best spots of his clothes and skin, also a little bit on his hair. He wants to make his scent as enjoyable as possible for everyone, even himself.

06:48 AM. He makes his bed and organizes his clothes a little to make the environment of his bedroom clean and visually satisfying.

06:55 AM. He leaves and goes directly to take a walk through the headquarters to find something to work on. Since he is a vampire, he doesn’t get hungry that much. He can enjoy meals, but he won’t get as much energy from them than blood. So I believe that there could be some blood bags in the pantry, hidden for Karenn and Nevra to take when they need some energy. But Nevra doesn’t usually need it during the morning.

07:15 - 08:40 AM. He finds himself filling some papers as he enjoys the quietness of the library, feeling pretty satisfied from the paperwork he can easily get rid off, yet the silence gets LOUD at some point and that makes him very nervous. Sitting down for hours makes him innerly energetic, so he starts planning what his training would look that day.

08:50 AM. Goes to the Pantry and takes a small blood shot for energy.

09:00-10:45 AM. He works out with other guard members. And time passes quickly with this as he has fun. Yet he finds himself sweaty after it and then goes back to his bathroom to take a quick shower, and then goes to the pantry to take a break!

11:06 AM. He is in the Pantry, cheerfully talking with his little sister and Chrome, as he drinks a blood bag to recover the energy he wasted on the work-out.

11:10 AM. Time to get back to work. And he goes to ask Huang Hua what will his tasks be during the day so he can start getting into them.

VALKYON

Sleeps like a rock, but he wakes up immediately when the alarm sounds. He gets slightly frustrated when the dream was so good and it got interrupted. He isn’t a morning person and leaving the bed is a heavy step for him, yet he is responsible for a guard and must do… what a leader must do. He has a tendency to go late to bed, but he quickly falls asleep and recovers his energy quickly.

His routine is all pretty much the same unless he is out on a mission.

06:15 AM. He goes to the bathroom and does his needs, brushes his teeth and washes his face with cold water so he can fully wake up. Then changes into comfy clothes to work out with and goes for a run.

06:30 - 07:15 AM. He is running outside the city of Eel, taking this time as a chance to release the sleepiness out of his body and start to feel energetic. Quite contradictory to be energetic when you’re tiring yourself, but doing exercise actually gives mental energy.

07:20 AM. He is back and goes to take a quick body shower. The full shower will be done at night, when he is done with sweating all he has to sweat from his job. His job requires constant physical strength, and he is too used to this that he barely sweats from doing some effort, but when he reaches his limits, he starts getting sweaty. And he likes to push his limits.

07:35 AM. He is done with the shower. He dresses up and tidies up his bedroom a little… (fixes his bed as good as he can and leaves)

07:40 AM. He has a good, filling breakfast that keeps him full for hours and also gives him vitamins and other positive chemicals to his body.

08:00–11:00 AM. He is training the members of his guard, being the good leader he is and teaching them all the good techniques, new strategies to surprise an enemy, new defense positions, new attacks from the side, with weapons, with random objects… They must be prepared for everything.

11:15 AM. He goes back to the forge and spends some hours working on sharpening weapons and creating new ones.

On free days he sleeps like a rock until his body has had enough. Yet he is a dragon and normally dragons can sleep for months or years… but not in his case! It’s ok! He has gotten used to sleep ‘normal’ hours (he’d wake up at 5 PM). Yet he spends those hours in a very productive way.

LEIFTAN

He needs to sleep his 8–10 hours so he can be fully energetic and ready to stand the next day. 07 hours and 40 minutes of sleep? Sorry, his body is noticing that. 06 hours and 58 minutes of sleep? Terrible! That’s unhealthy. He rather sleeps 09 hours and 40 minutes than less! 

He normally showers before going to bed, so he relaxes after all the day he had and goes to bed clean, ready face the best sleep he has ever had (aka every chance he has to sleep and rest because he enjoys it just as everyone does).

07:00 AM. He wakes up the moment the alarm clock sounds, stirring his arms and letting out the most melodic, sweet, sleepy hum. He stands up and opens the window immediately, letting fresh air get into his bedroom, the sunlight making him smile from its warmth. Leiftan is quite the type to try and romanticize his mornings to have any slight urge to stay alive at those hours. He takes a few deep breaths as a way to start the day with as less anxiety as possible.

07:08 AM. He starts organizing his bedroom, fixing his bed and making it look as if the best cleaning service went through it.

07:15 AM. He enters the bathroom, brushes his teeth and washes his face for a minute. Then, he changes his clothes and gets busy with braiding his hair.

07:30 AM. Puts on his sweet perfume and goes towards the pantry to have breakfast and mentally organize his day. He is usually well aware of the things he has to do during the day, yet being a guard on Eldarya meant that there would be an unexpected quest at the most inconvenient moment. And he tries to be open for those situations to happen. It is his job after all!

09:00 AM. He is bored since he has been rushing some problems before, so his spot of preference is always the library! He has read a few books during his switch and free days, knowing if there’s any newness around and knowing if there is a missing book (he always checks the list of provided books in case there is any book-thief in the city).

10:30 AM. He is taking a walk through the gardens, having kind conversations with the kids and getting a nice sunbath. He normally goes through the garden to clear his mind.

11:00 AM. He is in a meeting. He is a very responsible man!

On free days, he normally spends his mornings going for walks with himself or Lance, on the library reading or in his bedroom simply exploring new hobbies.

LANCE

He is a light sleeper, and even the smallest fly resting on his cheek could wake him up. He has never liked a routine and has always liked to improvise his day as it gets going yet being a leader of a guard now forces him to invest more effort into his routine, no matter how much he hates it or tries to stick to it. Now, his routine doesn’t change much from Valkyon’s as he is basically doing the same job.

During his free days he will do whatever he wants whenever he wants, no routines involved, or he won’t be able to rest.

06:00 AM. He groans when he hears the alarm, quite frustrated for not being able to sleep some more. He spends a few minutes staring at the ceiling and overthinking about his whole life, needing some inner courage to exit the bed. And he won’t fix his bed btw, he simply forgets about it.

06:08 AM. Exits the bed and goes to the bathroom to do his needs, brushes his teeth, zones out and sighs… damn how sleepy he is. He starts thinking about the coffee he will drink in a few minutes. He washes his face and goes back to his bedroom. 

06:16 AM. Changes his clothes and ties his hair as he can, making sure it won’t bother when he goes to train the members of his guard.

06:25 AM. Goes to the pantry and drinks the darkest coffee he can. He needs to wake up completely. I believe he is more of a picky eater than his brother, so he won’t have a breakfast filled with so many vitamins and energy in general. He’d drink an orange juice and that’s it. He likes to see how the other creatures also start they routines for work at those hours.

06:47 AM. Goes back to his bedroom to do the last needs, brush his teeth and then goes straight to the garden so he can stretch his body. He won’t have any training yet, but stretching helps him to feel more awake.

07:20 AM. Checks if Mathieu fell asleep or achieved to wake up that morning.

07:24 AM. He starts working in some paperwork there is to be filled or organized. 

08:00-11:00 AM. The training starts! And just as his brother used to do, he does the same, making sure everyone knows the perfect movements to win a fight and unexpected attacks.

11:06 AM. Goes to Huang Hua and asks what could he help with to get himself busy. Sometimes, he works on the forge, but he prefers it at noon so he can shower straight after it and go to sleep.

MATHIEU

Sets too many alarms and only his survival instinct wakes him up. When he was in earth, he settled the most disturbing sounds as an alarm, and he still needed his time to wake up. Sometimes he woke up and didn’t turn it off because he was too sleepy to move.

06:00 AM. Skipped.

06:10 AM. Skipped.

06:15 AM. Skipped.

06:20 AM. Skipped.

06:25 AM. He wakes up, yet his eyes are still closed and he is practically dozing off once again.

06… 06…. Wait… why isn’t the alarm sounding again? It is taking too much time. Is he probably… late!? Then his body fills with adrenaline and wakes up with almost a heart attack, checking the hour quickly as he sat up. It was 06:28 AM. And he is considering whatever to cry, whine against the pillow or accept that he is an adult and get going.

06:34 AM. After zoning out as he wonders what to do, he is already walking lazily towards the bathroom. He simply does his needs, washes his hands and gets on his clothes for the day. He quickly brushes his hair with his hand and that’s enough (that’s why his hair is messy most of the time).

06:42 AM. Time for breakfast! He is like a little kid who gets excited to have a bowl with milk and cereals for breakfast.

06:55 AM. He is done with breakfast and starts talking to Lance or any other creature he finds around to start activating his barely-working neuron this early in the morning.

07:10 AM. He goes back to his room, brushes his teeth and goes straight to ask Huang Chu what he should do during that day. He is like an obedient puppy and will immediately start working with whatever he got ordered with. Of course, he will whine about any difficult task he doesn’t feel like… but work is work.

07:30–11:00 AM. He simply spends the whole morning working actually! He wants to give a good view of himself and show how determined he is to place effort in a world he doesn’t belong to. Mathieu takes small breaks to hydrate himself and go to bathroom, but he is mainly focused in walking around and solving creatures’ issues! Whatever comes out, he is more than willing to solve it.

On free days… forget about him waking up from free will. He adores his bed, and adores the warmth of the covers, how the pillow adapts to the shape of his head and how cozy all of it is! Getting out from bed is like a torture for him, and avoiding it is just like a reward for him. Mathieu loves to rest as much as he can on free days.
