Special Abilities

Industrious: When Hephaestus trades in a full round action, he receives a major action, a move action, and a minor action. 

Heavy Metal Body: Hephaestus cannot lose more than 40 HP between each of his turns.

Plumes of Smoke: Hephaestus begins combat with 1 level of smoke. At the beginning of each of his turns, each plant and (non-human) animal with 20 yd of him takes a number of d12 poison damage equal to the smoke level. Some magical effects used by others can raise or lower the smoke level, usually by one. If one of his abilities would lower the smoke level to less than 0, or raise it to more than 12, he cannot use it.

Inhale: As a minor action, Hephaestus can lower the smoke level by 1 to recover 4d10 HP.

Exhale:  As a minor action, Hephaestus can raise the smoke level by 1.

Obscure: As long as the smoke level is 6 or more, humans with 20 yd of Hephaestus cannot see further than 3 yd, lowering the range of all weapons to 3 yd.

Suffocate: As a full-round action, Hephaestus can lower the smoke level by 12, dealing 12d12 poison damage to all creatures within 20 yd of him. If he somehow loses his poison immunity, this would damage even him.

Overblaze: As a full-round action, Hephaestus can attack with blaze up to four times, each against a different target.

Craftsman’s Pride Attack Mode Kind: Physical: B v. B Damage: 2d12 crush Accuracy: 10 Range: 4 Critical Threshold: 5 Effect: The attack deals an additional d4 of poison damage for each smoke level. Critical Effect: The attacker may raise or lower the smoke level by up to 3.

Smog Attack Mode Cost: Lowers smoke level by 2 Kind: Physical: D v. D  Damage: 5d4+4 poison Accuracy: 7 Range: 20 Critical Threshold: 10 Effect: The attack gets +1 to accuracy for each smoke level, after the cost is paid. Critical Effect: +21 damage

Blaze Attack Mode Cost: 1 Fury Kind: Physical: D v. D Damage: 2d12 fire Accuracy: 21 Range: 8 Critical Threshold: 10 Effect: If the attack hits, the defender is immolated for 3 rounds. Critical Effect: +21 damage, and if the defender is dropped to 0 or less HP, the attacker may kill them outright to have the smoke level increase by 2.
