Oh this is a fun one based on that popular post of mine about Wei Wuxian's notes giving people a headache due to how he just was writing for himself and sometimes he has a sense of humour.

So what does Xue Yang do with that in mind?

Wèi Wúxiàn wakes up with the biggest hangover he's ever had. He's confused by that, since he hasn't had a hangover since he figured out how to manipulate his qì to avoid it and it was such a small trick he could still do it after—well after.

He slowly opens his eyes, groaning. He stares up at an unfamiliar ceiling, wondering where he is. Was he drunk? Did he get drunk and wander away? It's rare for him to get drunk, he's too good at holding his alcohol. The most he gets is tipsy through that fruit wine Fourth Uncle made--

He remembers suddenly.

Wèi Wúxiàn sits up and immediately regrets it, covering his mouth with his hand and swallowing convulsively so he doesn't vomit. He feels very sick, very out of it, like he's not quite here though he shouldn't, should he? He died. He died and...

...and now he's breathing and alive. He has a pulse. A golden core. A golden core. He has a golden core, how the fuck does he have a golden core?

“It worked! It worked, Xuē-qiánbèi!” A voice burbles and oh that's loud, that's very loud.

Wèi Wúxiàn looks up, still feeling sick and head pounding unforgivingly, and sees two young men in front of him. Both wearing Jīn Sect robes. The yellow hurts the eye and makes his stomach churn additionally in fear and worry. How is he here? What is going on? He doesn't recognize them but he's never been good at faces. At the very least, they are wearing robes that tell him they are enemies to him.

But for some reason they look happy to see him.

He and Mo Xuanyu in this verse figure out a way to bring him back without giving up an actual life (I have a bunch of plans for how and the actual cost).

So he's stuck, bound by incantations to keep him there, to work with them...except them trying this on Wei Wuxian himself is asking for them to not succeed at keeping him in check.

200,000 is a super thick novel. Like GRRM goes to town thick. Don’t listen to them. I always thought novellas were 10000 to 50000 words or so.

It’s longer than some of the Harry Potter books, some Lord of the Rings books...

Cross Ange would probably be good for OCs, actually. They’re so pretty and expressive! It’s just a trash show.

It really would be good for OCs! The ladies themselves are gorgeous, and they really do emote a whole lot. And honestly, I love Ange as a character even though most of my exposure comes from SRW dfgsdf.

I felt that way when I was iconning Salia... And then I didn’t even use them.
