Friday Ginreview - Bernhards 1806 Eifel Dry Gin . “Bernhards 1806 - a very complex Eifel Dry Gin with the aroma of the regional elderberry. Herb-bitter aromas of distilled juniper berries, combined with light citrus tones of coriander and sweet honey note, are combined with other selected botanicals to a refreshing spicy gin” . Eifel Dry gin have 45% AVB . Nose: Warm juniper and floral notes . Palate: Smooth taste with gentle burn. Elderberry taste with good amount of juniper and yes I can also sense honey in background. This is gin with BIG taste. I have made amazing Negroni’s and Dry Martini’s with this gin, vermouths give great driver for this gin aromas. This gin is really great also in enjoyed neat.
