relating to my last post, here is my rant about Achillesā death and how he deserved better (tw: suicide mention):
The fact that Achilles and Peter never had a face off is still disappointing to this day. I am so angry and bitter about it. I was robbed. Their parallels would work for such good psychological fighting and arguments. It would honestly be more satisfying if Peter had Killed him rather than Bean. I donāt know, I am just bitter about it.Ā
The entire series was leading to some sort of parallel between Peter and Achilles and it let me down that it was only used for Bean to have trust issues. Achillesā dynamic with Peter is so interesting to me and I wished we got to see more of it.
I also wish Achilles didnāt die such a simple death. If anything, Achilles seems like the suicide type. He seems like the type to jump off a building in front of a crowd of people. I wouldāve liked to see Achillesā suicide rather than the last scene feeling extremely out of character for him.
His death felt so pointless to me. He was simply shot in the head. It just doesnāt sit right with me. He deserved so much more than that. We should have at least had a more emotional scene with Bean since it was from his perspective. But no, it was just blam then out.Ā
We need justice for Achillesā death scene. What I would give to have a scene where he jumps off a roof. Mayhaps I am just listening to too much āAchilles Come Downā, but who knows. Either way, Achilles deserves a better death.Ā
