Magnus was a Prince of Hell, and therefore he didn't need to sleep. But he loved holding his husband while he slept, loved the way he curled into Magnus and his cute little snores and the way he sometimes spoke in his sleep. Never let it be said that Magnus Lightwood-Bane was not a sap.

He pressed another kiss into Alec’s hair, and rested, and waited.

About a half hour later, the sounds of a baby crying emanated from the next room. Alec stirred, but Magnus was already stepping out of bed, pressing a kiss to Alec’s forehead.

"I'll take care of it, love," he murmured.

It was an unspoken agreement between them - Magnus handled Max in the mornings, when he just woke up and immediately began bawling, while Alec put their baby to sleep every night.

While Magnus handling Max in the mornings meant that Alec would get some mode of the precious sleep he needed, there was also another reason he did this.

Magnus pushed open the door to Max's nursery, and didn't bother looking in the crib. He knew he wouldn't find Max there.

Instead, he looked upwards, and smiled at his baby who floated in a nebula of blue magic, wailing away.

Summary: Magnus Lightwood-Bane is a Prince of Hell, the ruler of Edom, vanquisher of Asmodeus, and holder of a dozen different lesser titles.

Magnus Lightwood-Bane is also the co-owner of a tiny bookstore in New York, running it along with his husband, a simple minded innocent human named Alexander.

Throw in a magical half-demon baby who floats to the ceiling every morning, and life is fun.

OR, the one where I throw plot, logic and common sense out the window and write the wackest malec crack fic ever.
