In much the same way as he has assumed she was human, at first, Eto had taken this beautiful man for a ghoul at first sight. Of course, then she had inhaled and discovered that, beyond the sweet scent of blood and the tantalizing aroma of still-warm flesh, this gorgeous creature was very much not a ghoul. He was no human either, scent unlike anything she had come across before. Nothing like her scent, which was ghoul-with-a-trace-of-human, or Kishou’s human-with-a-trace-of-ghoul. Nor even was it like Ken’s almost seamless blend of human and ghoul, or Kurona’s, which had more ghoul to it than Ken’s thanks to having absorbed her twin and become something with a scent more akin to Eto’s own. Then the beguiling man spoke, confirming another theory her mind had posited.
The assumption that she was some sort of fanatic, one of the humans obsessed with monsters -- vampires, ghouls less “mainstream” beings, etc -- made the tiny woman chuckle for a moment. Truth be told, she had never even dreamed she would get the chance to meet any of the other creatures that stalked the human race from the shadows, so perhaps his assumption wasn’t entirely wrong... In a moment she had appeared directly in front of him, having severed an arm from the tantalizing corpse between them. (A woman with the sort of generous curves and assets Eto almost exclusively hunted, in some odd and perhaps even fruitless attempt to take in as much estrogen as she could.) Kakugan active in a blink, the green-tressed ghoul began taking delicate bites out of the fingers.
“A fanatic, certainly,” she purred, “but not the sort you’re thinking of, darling~”
