I was tagged by my dear friend Inge @yellowsocialbunny, And I guess the best way to demonstrate the evolution of my Early 18th century save, and the main family I play, The Noble House of Orlais:

Here we have the power couple of Marquis Adrien Jean-Chrysostome Bellaforte D' Orlais and Madame la Marquise Marie-Louise Charlotte Aston-Bellaforte D'Orlais, circa November 2017:

(Yes, I know, Marie-Louise's dress isn't even remotely historically accurate, but there was BARELY any rococco/baroque cc at the time. There still is too little, IMHO.)

Fast forward 6 years, and this is how they look like, thanks to @acanthus-sims, @historicalsimslife, @zurkdesign and others, who were a godsend during those dark days of next to none 18th century cc:

Look, I understand the importance of standing to the pieces of scum who are tearing our fandom apart through paywalls, adflys to literal death threats and doxing. Where we choose to continue fighting through awareness, courage and a commitment to building a healthier community, @eggysimblr​ choses to fight with toxicity, misogynistic slurs and death threats.

  Listen, I believe we should use our anger to demand change as a better world but when it just devolves into hateful, disgusting vitriol like this, I say this...

How long have you been playing the Sims?    The forums thread dates back to April 2017, so take that plus two or three months and we’re good. Sims 4 was the first sims game I played myself and apart from the occasional Sims 2 adventures with a friend I had in school.

How long have you been a Simblr, and why did you become one?    The first post is from March 2017, so since then although I had already been lurking before that.    I got here because of some friends who had a tumblr blog. Also, it was kind of convenient to be closer to the cc 😉

What type of Simblr are you?    Lol um... Historical simblr would probably describe it the best but I’m not one type. What I post are random gameplay screenshots, story chapters, a few cc reblogs and even fewer own cc

Which generation of Sims do you primarily play?    Since I was late at the party, Sims 4 is the only game I own (and Sims Medieval, for obvious reasons). While I admire the sheer amount of historical cc Sims 2 and 3 have, I would never exchange it for the comical and clean look of Sims 4 sims 😁

Avast ye scallywags! A while ago I got this Idea, to recreate some of the most famous historical Pirates to ever sail the seven seas. When I saw Bats of Westeros’ Coronation Pack, and especially the Noble Robe, I really loved it. BUT, unfortunately the Robe (or rather cloak), had some issues. First of all, It was rigged to the socks slot, so my Rococco Gents wouls walk around with naked calves. Second of all, the combination of UV and messed up Texture layers meant that it was incompatible with most tops and outfits. So, I decided to fix it. After I did so, I thought, “hey, why not retexture it as well?” As it looked just like a georgian or victorian greatcoat, or Iverness cape, so I did. And lo, and Behold, Here it is, in following Swatches:

The Original, red with Ermine Capelet,

Green... ish? I dunno, I like this colour though...

Known Issues: This was my first foray into UV mapping, so don’t expect ultra sharp HD testures. all the weapons are bound to right hand slot, but the textures of Reaper’s Scythe/Doomstaff, Cutlass and Captain’s Cutlass occupy the bracelet textures.
