Grocery Store Pre Made Foods
I happen to live right across the street from a grocery store that makes many different dishes that you can buy pre made. When you first walk in, they have a huge assortment of typical Spanish and Catalan dishes such as tortilla, empanadas, croquettes, paella, and more. I have tried everything but the paella as I am not a huge fan of seafood. However, I have noticed that they have my favorite tortilla here that I have had since being here, which has cebolla or onion in it. Also, I have tried the chicken croquettes which were so good and have been consistently getting them. What I think is interesting is that even the food sold in the grocery stores are delicious, which is often not the case in America. I would never even think to buy an egg dish that was pre made from a grocery store because I would be nervous about how it was made, how long it had been sitting out, and would wonder if it even tasted good. However, I admire how much pride Catalonia takes in their cuisine and making it truly stand out from others. This is one of the things I am going to miss most as more often than not, you can walk somewhere and have  great food if it is traditional Spanish or Catalan food.Â
