@efffimero liked for a starter.
A cold floor had been bad enough, being dragged by her precious, prized hair had been bad enough, the stinging bite of cold rain was just salt and ash in the wound, but nothing quite topped the stare, the spite in the humanâs gaze as they were tossed at each other.
Human words tear at her ears, barked, bellowed, and the echoing from the sky, through the air, shaking the mother earth beneath her feet. Again, someone is pulling her precious moon-spun locks, stained with blood and dirt, dragging her forward, a pack tossed at her feet.
Iron-stained words, itâs all too much, too fast, and then a swift kick to her back, lancing pain up her spine sends her sprawling. A foot plants on her back, heel digging into her fragile bones, and she wants to scream, oh, merciful stars, how she wants to scream. To beg, please, humans, stop, she didnât do it, whatever it was!
But her sirenâs language would fall on deaf ears. It was cruel. So cruel.
More bark, more of the heels bite, the earth quakes beneath her iced skin. A swift kick to the ribs as her yelping like the dog sheâs been made to seem, but the then steps retreat, and she pulls herself up out of the mud, frail arms shuddering.
Once, she had been curious of mankind, and now she hated them.Â
Words bellow once more, things she doesnât understand, the iron cage she was in lifted from the ground, by metal birds...?
Violet eyes upturned, a shadow looms over her. Flinching, she doesnât even have the strength to back away from this man. All she could recall was a woman screaming, pointing at her, anger in her face, and then she was dragged away, knocked unconscious by a fist.
How...had this happened? What WAS happening? A prisoner? These towering walls of stone, were they meant to serve as punishment...?
None of this made any sense.
