Breaking down the materials I used for my Lon Chaney recreation. A little late for Halloween, but hey...better late than never. đđ
Instead of using prosthetic appliances, this was built in the same out-of-kit style that Lon used back in 1925. I used @alconefx liquid latex and cotton to build up the cheekbones and orbital bone (Lon used collodion and cotton).
I did the nose by using medical tape to pull the tip of the nose up and anchored it between the eyes with @alconefx prosthetic adhesive aka prosaide (Lon used a material called fishskin to pull up his nose). I heightened the upturned nose by sculpting @mehronmakeup Synwax to make it look more skeletal.
Vinyl balcap by @themakeuparmoury and secured with prosaide. Base foundation by @ripperfx Light Flesh alcohol activated pallette. Highlights/shadows by @makeupforever creme contour palette. Additional shading by @bennyemakeup eyeshadow pallette.
Those with latex allergies can use nose/scar wax and seal with prosaide, or use gelatin and cotton for the build-up (or school glue if you are REALLY on a budget). Do this look cheaply with a creme or liquid foundation, and inexpensive eyeshadow pallette for highlights/shadows.
