It was! So weird to draw him in the UA uniform. I can just imagine him struggling with the tie because sure he can get in and out of his armor in just minutes and walk in excessively long robes weighing down every step, but this damned strip of fabric won’t tie.
He’s used to wearing layers of elaborate roles as the Fire Lord, but a tie? It’s beyond him.
Also this brought the beautiful image of Todoroki in Fire Nation robes. He tries to wear the most casual things he can (like Zuko in season 3), but the servants keep thinking that since he’s Zuko’s “””double””” from another world, then he should wear clothes appropriate to his status. Todoroki just wants to walk without tripping over himself.
What if the white palace is a sunken city, like Atlantis? Once upon a time it was standing proudly above the waves, but as the plague spread, it crumbled and sank supernaturally fast. Legend tells of the treasure within, waiting for the diver who can locate and reach it. Despite no one ever finding where it sank, there are rumors of strange happenings at sea, often attributed to the lost palace.

i don’t count it but i’ll say something about him anyway because i love him:
he puts special little caps on his talons whenever he handles his hero merch, cuz he doesn’t want to damage any of it and it’s really easy to scratch stuff when your fingers have what are basically miniature spears attached to the ends of them :’)
