honestly i think a group of people who could really stand to read some trans theory that is socialogical and not medical is obviously truscum and like reading things like “my words to viktor frankenstein above the village chamounix” and “The empire strikes back: a post transexual manifesto” which is a direct response to terf rhetoric that sounds awfully similar to the hyper medicalized and sterile conceptualizations of transness that truscum have although theyre coming at it from different directions. like trans women have been talking about the socialogical and social conceptualizations of transness from almost the get go and the history and compassion that is there for trans people who were turned away by doctors for not fitting the mold well enough, although trans women would also find eachother and coach them in exactly what to say to not be labelled an autogynephyle or perverted man and so this skews medical research a lot of times because what doctors are reporting is what they want to hear because thats what people are told they have to say to access the things they need.
