eelko is the amalgamation of musical explorations and obsessions gathered throughout Christopher Carchedi’s life. Choosing to live on the darker yet emotive side of music, eelko’s ghastly expressions have caught international attention. Most notably, he collaborated on the song “One Big Loop” with Australian glitch producer, Mr. Bill, and UK sound design master, Mus Sck, which was released as part of Bill’s “The Collaborative Endeavours: A Glitch Opera.” (2013). His growing catalogue of originally produced songs, remixes, and DJ sets have earned a number of features with outlets and artists including Skytree and Lost In Sound, as well as performances with internationally acclaimed acts such as Mr. Bill, Amon Tobin, KiloWatts, Thriftworks, and Govinda.

eelko performs a dj set at Fractaltribe's Year of the Fractilian, a new years eve gathering at the Fractal Factory in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA on 12.31.14 This mix was a fun one and I enjoyed preparing and digging for it. I would say it has been one of my favorites. I was originally going to play dubstep or DNB for this party because my set was in the side room but decided I wanted to experiment a little more and step out of my comfort zone as a DJ. Technically, I admit, it's not my best as there are some minor beat match/transition blips. I hadn't had much time on CDJs playing these songs so it was definitely a live in the moment test. It is my first set where I played straight up four to the floor dance tracks (yes, I’ve said in the past that I would probably never do it) but New Years Eve was a very fitting time to do it. PARTY! It consists of a lot of artists that are fairly new to me and I wanted to share what is inspiring me in the world of 120 - 130bpm minimal techno. As with all my sets I try to take you on a cohesive journey and not keep any part of the mix flatlined and stale. It's not your average techno. It’s definitely my style: dark and minimal. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
